if you are a super lazy intp you have to force yourself into situations where you have no choice but to succeed. figure out what kind of temporarily uncomfortable weeks/months/years will be worth it in the end, then use logic to overcome your emotional resistance just enough to start yourself down a different path. i went from neet to coding bootcamp to 6 figure wagecucking that forces me to level up my social skills and while stashing most of my paychecks into crypto.

It's not just that it's just INTJs are more physically driven to innovate, change and grow. INTPs are basically opposite (sit around and think). Caffeine/coffee in the morning really helps me.

ENTP here, so pretty close. Working and crypto trading. I invested 3k into a peak 70k in December and recently tilted away 2.5 btc on Bitmex. Now down to .9 btc and looking for a higher paying job so I can invest more into crypto with more patience.

The INTJ wants the problem to be solved in real life and to gain power from it. They are comfortable with the machiavelian games that are required to dominate in business. To an INTP, these things are pompous and maybe even boring.

Isn't this whole concept based on misunderstanding of some research papers? Actual psychologists never use this tests unironically, they prefer big 5 aka OCEAN model, but even this is being challenged regularly by repeated attempts to introduce more dimensions than just the base five... not to mention all those folks arguing this whole approach is a dead end...

I can concur but the conscientiousness trait can be worked and improved, I found something I love doing and its easier to get disciplined now.

Best advice I can give to my INTP brethren in this regard is.

DONT BUILD IT ALL FIRST. We love to get all of our ducks in a row, and we suffer from an overload of choice. Which leads to procrastination. We really want everything perfect before we launc a project.

It's really best to not do this, instead build small examples (minimum viable product), and get opinions from those who would find value.

This way you don't put weeks and weeks into a problem that is already solved, or is entirely useless to the people you thought it was going to change their lives. Which I've done a few times... fucking aye.

Yea there are literally like 15 projects I've worked on that I never ended up finishing because a) the implementation ended up not reflecting the desired result b) the amount of time and effort to complete the project was way more than I expected. Great advice, start small and simple.

INTP here. Was awkward in high school, fortunately I'm good at sports and reasonably good enough looking to have females approach me. Was secretly obsessed with magic the gathering (no one in high school knew), won a PTQ at age 14 and was ranked top 100 in magic online for a while. Went to university and ended up skipping more than half my classes. Played online poker, profited about $20k. Parents hooked me up with a medium paying job after uni. Wanted to produce music, but I could never create sounds the way I heard them in my head. Wage slaved for a good 6 years then ended up getting a pretty severe sports injury. While recovering from surgery for 6 months, I went real deep on learning everything I could. Went down various rabbit holes, but importantly learned that the global financial system is completely fucked and concluded that there will be a snapping point sometime between 2020 and 2025. Did a bunch of cool drugs, which inspired me to take action. Jumped into bitcoin around $950 and ethereum around $85. Started to diversify into alts like antshares, eos, oyster pearl (biggest gainer for me), as well as a bunch of stinkers. Ended up cashing some out and I'm retiring this year. Currently 40% of my portfolio is in LINK. I'm back to playing sports again, but honestly I spend most of my time bumming around on youtube.

What do you want to know? I prefer limited (cube is by far my favourite format, but there aren't tournaments for it). Other limited formats I enjoy are ones that balance prioritizing raw card power vs. manabases (Alara, Ravnica 1 & 2, etc). My favourite constructed decks to play over the ages have typically been: counter rebels, psychatog (with upheaval and also mana short for the sideboard), affinity, eggs, cawblade, and anything with snapcaster mage. I don't really enjoy decks where you just dump out your hand and try to topdeck (RDW, jund, etc.)

Worked at a hardware store for 13$ an hour from ages 18-22.

Now I'm 23 and have since turned 3k into 400k with crypto. Been on NEET mode for 6 months.

Going back to uni in the fall for bioengineering but it's really just something to defer people's negative judgement of me. I like science but I don't think I'll ever be a nobel prize winner. That is better reserved for INTJs. I am a big picture thinker and am much better at crafting philosophy, drafting ideas, managing, and leveraging other intelligent people.

I have delusions of grandeur that I will never live up to because I am cursed with insanely low conscientiousness and high neuroticism. A harrowing combo. I've had countless bold project ideas but lack the discipline to ever carry anything out. I don't see this ever changing short of gene therapy.

If MBTI had no basis in reality then you would expect that I'd only have a 1/16 chance of correctly typing someone--essentially randomized. But I can type people correctly, or at least partially correctly 80+% of the time.

Also, MBTI has moderate correlation with big 5 psychometric traits, which have much more scientific validity. For example, take anyone who identifies at INTP and I bet money they will have low to moderate conscientiousness, moderate to high openness, low to moderate extraversion, low to moderate agreeableness, and moderate neuroticism (on average).

I'm trying my hand as a small scale inventor selling things I 3d print on amazon. If your digital hustle is good you can make something (or steal the model like I do sometimes) and print it and people will pay money for it. I sent an order that should net me $500 a few days ago which isn't a ton but since the work required is for me to press buttons on a printer every 10 hours then every week spend 2 hours packaging it all up and sending it to amazon then they do all the sales I'm happy with it.

Also collecting unemployment because fuck my biomedical engineering degree.

I'm fairly good at spatial reasoning myself and I really like doing 3d modeling. 2 of my last 3 jobs I got specifically because I could do CAD (specifically sketch up IE the osx of 3d modeling). If you have good spatial thinking skills I'd recommend giving sketch up a try it's easy to pickup and use and is a good entry into CAD
