Sneks are great. Some of my best childhood memories are of me and my cousins wandering around the prairies catching garter snakes. Also they eat the aforementioned six-legged buggers which is nice.

I don't think any of them are lethal but we have plenty, mostly in southern Europe tho
We don't have big ass spiders like tarentulas, at least no in France
And snakes too are fairly common but again not very dangerous kinds. When strolling in the garrigue (what we call the Mediterranean shrublands around) I usually see several running away,but I never saw any longer than 1m / 3 feet

Western Europe is pretty urbanized but wildlife still exists.

I like vultures, they are natural cleaners. Most I see are in the Causses area, dry limestone plateau in the south and in their river gorges

I don't really know for France as whole, although some species like the Aspic viper are found everywhere, but the most common where I live is "Malpolon monspessulanus", named after the city of Montpellier
It can grow to 2m but I never saw this size in the wild

Its venom is one of the most dangerous out here but its fangs are located in the back of its mouth so it's hardly an issue for humans
On the other hands the vipers will bite you good but you'll survive, with most species
