Isn't the North a shithole compared to the South? All you'd be getting is a civil war.
Scotland secession fakken when?
What's an Ireland???
Cringe
We'll care for them and treat them well, unlike Westminster has been doing for the last century.
If west Germany can absorb East Germany successfully then there is no reason why we can’t join the republic considering we are a a lot better off then that example.
A place where people can’t go to prison for making dogs heil Hitler unlike “great” shitain
>All you'd be getting is a civil war.
The troubles are long over, the Western World is simply incapable of violence now, we're too pussified and there are too many old people for anything to happen internally. Shit will only go down once external factors start actually fucking shit up.
>The troubles are long over, the Western World is simply incapable of violence now
See violence pretty much every week, dunno what delusional world you live in lol
Will NI ever get a vote like Scotland did?
Really hope that this is true but people on those islands seems to lack balls
Depends if there is enough support for it. If polls for a united Ireland are in around the 50% mark we can probably expect one. There are provisions for one in the GFA.
Mind you, it is up to the British government to call one and you can imagine which way their bias will be leaning so they may require substantial showings in the polls before they call one.
Southerners lack balls needed to get shit done if we all united we would have got the whole island back but too many people stopped the rebellion once the south was won and didn’t carry on to free Ulster
not for a long time since it'd cause a lot of trouble. shit like this still goes on up here, they'd be frothing at the mouth if there was the slightest chance of unification
Ulster will be a independent state
I hope not. The north would be an economic drain and is filled with religious right wing types which would set us back as a progressive nation.
Who cares what the orange cunts froth at the mouth about? Inbred shits the lot
they're inbred shits but i don't doubt their ability to cause a lot of misery if they don't get their way
fucking hell mate there are STILL cunts protesting outside the city hall because of that fucking flag
>progressive nation
Fuck off m’boko go be black back in Nigeria you disgusting black shoneen.
Good, Ireland should be one country
united ireland will be shit, filled with concessions made to unionists even though they don't deserve them and will never be happy about it
>change the flag!
>change the national anthem!
>rejoin the commonwealth
>remove compulsory Irish!
Nah, I'll stay in Ireland unlike yourself.
soon
Was watching a bit of a WW2 documentary today and it brought a sad smile to myself when they showed Roosevelt's Four Freedoms speech. How's that first freedom holding out in the UK?
Yep, most people who believe in the fantasy of a united Ireland believe it would involve the submission of unionists somehow. It would ironically make us more British.
I wonder if the DUP weren't propping up Theresa May, would the Tories have kept the North in the EU. Would've saved herself a lot of hassle and would actual present a way forward, whilst currently there is none.
Strange how some people in the North want to remain with Britain when the majority there don't really care about them, or know they are there.
But the Unionists are probably closer to the Irish a 103 years ago than the current Irish in the South.
I would agree they're closer to the values people held in the early 1900's, yes. Thankfully we're not.
It's not about how Britain feels about them, just the amount of shit they can get out of it. Even supposed nationalists up north are unionist enough to vote against united Ireland on the basis of welfare.
>unionist enough to vote against united Ireland
They haven't actually done that though, and they do vote for nationalist parties.
>on the basis of welfare
Sad thing about places like the North and Scotland to a lesser degree, is that they are likely to forever remain economically backwards whilst in the UK as the South of Britain will always soak up the majority of investment and economic development.
>They haven't actually done that though, and they do vote for nationalist parties.
I'm only talking on an anecdotal level. There are nordies who vote and identify as nationalist on the basis of ethnic affiliation but from talking to them their actual position is a soft form of unionism, i.e. that they want a united Ireland in principle but only under some vague set of economic conditions that will never exist.
>under some vague set of economic conditions that will never exist
There has never been a proper campaign and poll carried out though. It would be marketed as a once in lifetime oppurtunity to unite the island peacefully and under those circumstances they may put their heart before any thoughts of money and welfare.
And Brexit was never going to result in better economics was it, and look how that turned out.
The UK is a lot more right wing than us, if that's how you feel about immigration and presumably other things then why would you want to leave them for more liberal governance?
you'd think we'd be more anti-immigrant considering the north exists, what a shame
That definitely puts any border poll off a good few years. Even if Catholics were the majority, it would only take a small contingent of Catholic defectors to swing in favour of unionism. Defectors from unionism are less likely as I see it. It won't matter in a few decades anyway as Irish people won't even be an ethnic supermajority here anymore.
c-can poland join the united ireland?
What does anyone gain besides satisfying their autism?
>Defectors from unionism
Those from a Protestant background are more likely to abandon their religion and vote for middle-ground parties like Alliance. Those groups are much more open to the idea of a united Ireland.
The current makeup of Stormont and the votes on city councils in the likes of Belfast are evidence of this.
I think most would agree that Brexit is currently weakening the union.
Wouldn't it end up like a reverse Italy
In fairness that's just because unionist parties are insane
Daily reminder that UK won't exist because all members will gain full independence before 2030
I don't doubt Loyalists sperging out and hurting some people but they wouldn't nearly have the support they had during the Troubles.
Why couldn't the Brits have taken Connacht or Munster instead?
Based united Ireland and united Korea in our lifetimes!
You mean like importing 1 million 3rd worlders between now and 2040 and putting them in small villages for maximum impact? Because that's Ireland 2040 plan.
NI is better of as it is, the more divided and sectarian the better. The more hostile to open migration the better. NI is the last bastion of normality and nationalism in Western Europe.
Just give them Dublin and Belfast.
Sounds like Leo was inspired by the British plan for Hong-Kong.
Or he's just a typical leftist son of a street shitter towing the globalist line and looking to make Ireland as brown as he is.

Man, Irish songs are the best.

>Irish """""rebel""""" song
>sung in English
Yeah, nice fucking rebellion
for an arrogant brainlet from Caucasus cool lyrics and catchy tune is all that counts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I really hope one day I can visit my ancestral home as it was meant to be.
United
>reclaiming the six counties
>not annexing scotland, wales, iceland, brettony and the channel islands and forming greater ireland
You paddies have no ambition, smdh
give us inspiration and annex the UK
Because Ulster was the centre of Gaelic power
