Brands are always expensive, but some rightfully so. I have yet to taste a bad Highland Park, for example.
Although I have not yet tasted that Laphroaig of yours. I'm guessing it is worth investing in? My local shop has 8 of them in stock according to their website.

it's worth trying one time, very distinct tasting though so not for everyone. Highland Park is great too, really like that one. I always get the single malt 30 years aged one. Good taste my friend

I highly recommend Einar from their Viking series. It's probably my favorite whisky so far. HP's regular 12 year old is also good.
