I LOVE Portugal and I LOVE Portubros
Claro que sim!
Sou Portuboo.
No they're sneaky and pedophilic in the inside
>pedophilic
That's rich coming from you
I'm also taking this as an opportunity to dump some of my Portugal photos I took traveling there over the last two years to "matar as saudades."
YES
Portuguese beaches are the best

I finally made it to pic related after seeing it in this video two years earlier. Kinda wish I transferred to Coimbra to finish my degree there.
I graduated from this university
A lot of it looks comfy desu. Though I'm an autist and I'd probably prefer the gloomy and rainy Northern parts over the sunny beaches like most normoids.
Qual faculdade? Tenho muitos amigos que são estudantes (de física) na FCUP e dizem que os melhores faculdades de ciências em Portugal são as de Lisboa, Coimbra e o Porto.
It's like California if the cities were actually built to look nice and be comfortable to live in.
And affordable. You can get a one bedroom in a Lisbon suburb in a clean, safe neighborhood with decent access to the Metro for 400 EUR/month.
FEUC (Faculdade de Economia). É a que tem um edifício cor-de-rosa.
Ya, têm razão. Lisboa, Porto e Coimbra normalmente costumam ser a melhores a nível nacional em quase tudo
Na minha cidade há um mural num prédio
>And affordable. You can get a one bedroom in a Lisbon suburb in a clean, safe neighborhood with decent access to the Metro for 400 EUR/month.
Comfy, what about rainy north? You know like around the Galicia area.
The weather in the north is more like rhode island/massachussetts
Cheaper. Maybe 150-200 except Porto which should be higher
That's practically nothing compared to what I'm used to. In SoCal a studio apartment is on average $1200 dollars.
With that price I could rent a 3 or 4 bedroom apartment in Lisbon in a very central area.
It's even cheaper but there are fewer jobs. The only Northern cities I've been to are Porto and Coimbra. IMO Porto is the most livable city I've ever visited. I'd love to live there.
I'm too drunk right now to respond in Portuguese. I have some other friends, one studies at ISEL, one at FDUL, and another at Évora, and they pretty much all say the same things. The ones in Physics, though, pretty much all want to get out of the country for their doctorate and career

Are there US government places there? It's possible for to get a contract to work on their facilities maintenance. They usually want US nationals for US bases and such.
Jesus, I thought it was bad that I'm paying 860 for a Studio on the north side of Chicago
Warmer winters, though. As I understand it, typical Portuguese winters are cool and rainy and for the most part there's not snow except around Serra da Estrela.
I think if I were Portuguese I'd want to live in Porto. Like I said, it just seemed super livable. My friends who study at FCUP all love it. It's not as hot as Lisboa and has a lot of things to do.
There's a US consulate in Porto. There are also some American military personnel in Portugal but not many compared to countries like Germany, plus most are at an air base in the Azores.

Yeah it just keeps getting worse since they filled everything up with sprawl and HOAs don't want to build anything more dense even though thats the only way to add more housing now. Stuff that is built is usually luxury shit for rich people and it's made worse by chink millionaires buying up housing for real estate investment.
Were not the worst though. San Francisco is the worst in the country. That place would give you nightmares. People with six figures are struggling to make ends meat there.
Yeah I've looked into moving to the Bay Area.
Honestly the problem mostly comes down to zoning and overregulation. The housing market would work MUCH better if they relaxes some of the rules that get in the way of new construction and high density. Fucking NIMBYs ruin everything.
I'm looking into moving to Seattle and they definitely have a huge problem with too much low density housing.
would an australian who cant speak portugese be welcome to live in portugal
Do you like macau?
Portuguese national dish is a whole roasted australian on a stick served with peri peri sauce and olive oil
I've read a lot about it. The whole US has a problem with it, but since local towns are given more of a say they just deny everything in their area so nothing gets built anywhere. US urban planning and architecture is also a big problem. We build things to be cheap and sold quickly, not to be nice places that will last. Auto centric communities have more social isolation, obesity, and air pollution. More people are starting to realize this though, so I hope it gets better. But I don't feel like waiting decades for marginal improvement which is why I've wanted to live in a Euro city or village where everything is already built the way I want it to be.
thailands national dish is eating an australian tourists cum out of a ladyboy
I'm a half finnish portuguese though
literal perfection
