Hey, IA, in regards to your post last Friday , NS actually announced in their 2017 10-K that after absorbing their subsidiary they're going to cut their dividend in half to $0.60/share starting this May, so the actual yield right now is around 11.5%. Just thought I'd give you a heads-up.

If i buy stocks from a company, that means i have a part of the company right? Well if i have stocks from this company, that means i will recieve a piece of the money this company does? I have that doubt.

You don't even have a basic understanding of what stocks are, and how they work. Do not invest, please, you will lose it.

Go to investopia.com, start reading. Read most of the site, then come back with any questions.

Passively, at least half a million, loaded up with high dividend stocks and ETFs. If you can get 20% a year, which is a good rate of return (but not guaranteed, this year might be rough), but 10% would get you 50k a year, before taxes.

Day trading, nobody can tell you, we have no idea how good at it you'd be, what the market will be like, and you'd need at least a couple grand to get started, and you won't live off it for a while, like a year or two, until you learn the ropes, make your newbie mistakes, and get a grip on it. The time for jumping in and making money off basically anything was last year, this year is shaping up to be a rollercoaster, and you need experience to profit in a market like this.

Get a job, start doing small trades, and learn how to do it, or start socking money into an investment account and let a professional try to get you 20%.

I've been reading up on Heikin-Aski candles, and boy oh boy do I love you fucking gooks. Ishimoku Cloud has been doing well for me, now with some Heikin in there I think we have a solid base.

I really like it because it is not really mystic bullshit like certain TA tends to turn into. Very rooted. Will long jap stocks now in return.

needs to break 24.7K, is currently in an upward trend with no signs of reversal. If it can't break past resistance then it will reverse. MACD & RSI confirm. I expect a failure of breaking resistance due to my current bias of thinking the big banks are fucked and I am shorting them.

It helps identifying trends, in particular indicators of trend reversal. From the examples in what I have read so far, this seems to be true. Recent action in SPY & BAC, have reversed when indicators became present. I am not seeing any indicators on either that signaled a reversal that did not happen. I would be shocked if it is right 100% of the time, but it seems to be consistent.

could you explain a bit more what you mean? i also dont fully understand those candles, it seeems like they take into account the previous few days and that has the effect of more candles in a trend being red or green, is that what you mean by identifying reversals? your waiting for candle color changes? i've never dealt with them since hiding price action does not seem like a positive to me at all, but i cant say for sure im ignorant of the setup your using

I've been meaning to say it for a while but you need to fuck off. You add nothing of value and spam bullshit in other threads on /biz

each candle is an average of two days, the current and the previous. As example, if a stock has two green days but had lower lows on both the days the HA candle with be red. When the market is being nuts, red one day, green the next, if you see a flat (small to no body) with large wicks, it is likely a signal of trend reversal.

You're not really hiding price action, you're averaging out to better understand current price relation to the past.

I'm using Ichimoku Cloud, HA candles, RSI, and MACD as my indicators. Has worked pretty well so far. See pic related.

Im looking for something comprehensive with market analyses, customers, competitors etc..
Obviously I can get some of that from annual reports, but they're all biased so its hard to get an accurate view of the big picture.
