Being alone in the woods can have it's own charm, the only real downside of spending a little time innawoods that I can think of are mosquitoes and the mosquito situation probably isn't quite as bad there as it is here since we have so much still fresh water for those little flying pests to breed in.
at least you can get away from everything so it isn't all that bad
we have mosquitos but nowhere near as bad as finland or sweden
ticks are a much bigger problem here, much much worse than anything else

Yeah, while not the same kind of constant pest like mosquitoes they can do some real damage, lyme disease really would be terrible if it is not noticed in time, I know a guy who got lyme due to a tick bite in conscription, it was noticed pretty fast so he just took antibiotics for some time and resumed as normal.
i'll probably just walk around until i find a good spot
had a lot of tick bites before but i'm always afraid of getting them since they can fuck you up bad and we have so many of them here

Tick bites are one of those things that you should probably always get checked
it's fun, i just wish i could do it more often
never had any ill effects from tick bites since i always get them off pretty quick
