it's not about the miner/program, it's about the algorithm that the blockchain is using. Right now it's such that it's best with CPU mining. And it should stay that way if we don't want another shitcoin. keep away from GPU mining and ASIC mining.

won't be profitable for GPUs, especially considering more and more server farms will start dumping CPUs due to the vulnerabilities. The only use for those will basically be mining.

I think it's a bit more complicated than that, running Argon2d on GPU isn't that hard (it's just a hashing function after all), the problem is more with how instructions must be handled in Nodejs to be efficient.

Before I started pool mining I got an estimation on their website that I would get maybe 1 block every 25 days, and there is still a lot of luck involved, same should apply to you, probably worse with your hashrate.
It sucks desu that they changed the estimation to 'around X satoshi per block' since this leads to the false assumption that you would get paid every block, you still have to get a whole block on their webminer to get anything.

Pool mining pays instantly, whereas solo mining pays once in a while if you're lucky. Mathematically, the payoff is the same given enough time.

I just ran both one after another, with the same number of threads, left is on Linux shell, right is on Windows bash, this is on my laptop so no huge hash/s numbers but the difference is clear

Your phone most likely has an ARM processor inside which is not compatible with the x86/x64 architecture they compiled the miner for. Same for raspberry pis or something like that. The skypool devs once said they'd add ARM support but I think they are busy with other things right now according to what is going on in the discord lol

They are being ddos'd and generally attacked/manipulated or something like that and their website/server also had some problem, didn't really follow it too much, as long as my miners can connect and I get paid I'm fine.

Maybe you're using the wrong version? There are 3 versions of linux miners, depending on what your cpu supports, try 'compat' version, this is the most general one which should work everywhere, apart from that I can't help, there is no public source code yet for the skypool miner.

I run win10, and I can use the fast version in ubuntu.

Open startmining.bat after having modified config.txt to include your wallet, is set to the amount of cores you have in your CPU minus one, and is set at a percentage that you're okay with. Also change the server to whichever is closest to you.
