There are many types of engines to power locomotion. They have strengths and weaknesses and each have their niche. A turbine engine may not be appropriate for a moped. A two stroke engine may not be appropriate for a jet liner. But each are perfect for their own special applications. Just as there is more than one kind of engine. There is more than one kind of money. Some forms of money are optimized for specific use cases. No type of money is universally perfect for every application. There is room for more than one type of currency in human civilization.

I didn't indicate EOS has no chance. I implied that based on the past so far, EOS has a low chance.
