/lang/ is currently short on those image guides, so if you can pitch in to help create one for a given language, don't hesitate to do so!

what language should I learn to be cool and edgy?

If you're old enough to post on this thread, you are at a disadvantage to learn languages

Not really, it is slowly dying, it is only really old Irish people who actually ever use it, Irish you 'learn' it, forget it and never use it.

You won't get much out of it.

everyone in my family has spoken irish up until my dad (grandparents didn't force it enough), i'd like to learn it again to at least be able to read and write in.

Any good workbooks for Italian?

does being an animu translator pay well?

I wouldn't know sorry. I looked into Spanish interpretation and it pays quite well. I think most people would translate animu for the passion rather than money. fansubs etc.

When do I use тyт and when здecь?

It seems that no one says здecь in Ukraine.

what if you wanna use вoт? are all 3 the same thing?

I assume вoт is more for pointing something out like in motion. I mostly hear it in directions, handing something to someone or something similar. I assume like the archaic hither.

That is just my feeling and what I gathered though. Don't go completely off of me.

Bimpo

тyт is like when you are going there.

If you would look across the street and say, let's walk there, you would use тyт

здecь is what you would say when you say "We are standing here"

I thought вoт is like how you said тyт is. What is the correct one for the question "take away or eat here?" when I was in Russia they always said здecь and now in Ukraine people prefer to say тyт for this.

Oh wait тyт is to здecь what тyдa is to тaм right?

What are the hottest markets for bilingual Spanish speakers? Besides "normal job + Spanish"

вoт would be like "Here is your tea"

But you would never say "we are standing here" with вoт

If people are in Ukraine are using тyт as in "to eat here" that's really strange to me. Either I don't have a proper understanding of тyт then, or it is used differently there.

Where in Ukraine are you by the way? And why did you choose to go there after Russia? I was in Kyiv and loved it, but Saint Petersburg is my home city. Easier to stay here for a long time with three year tourist visa.

French here and I am struggling with it.

Learning Italian

What is particularly troubling you?

тyт is pretty much the same word as здecь

What you were talking about is тyдa

Bimp

probably because there is a discord.. those always ruin these threads by robbing bumps

I'm in Lviv but going back to Kiev tonight. I saw Odesa too. Next I will be leaving slavland and going to the middle east. I know Arabic and have people I know there so it should be easier.

I only had a month long tourist visa for Russia (I didn't have time to get the longer one). I came by train from China so I wanted to go west and go somewhere I could continue practicing Russian.
