I cant assume much except a metropolis of chinamen. Like a mix between Japan and South Korea. What really sticks out here?

Nice place. It's really not China anymore, less than Hong Kong even. It's mostly lived in by non-ethnic chinese locals, and the KMT being a political party is really it's only connection to Chinese history. I am certain that China will take it back at some point, possibly giving it some special status, but it will happen and no other country will put up any objections.

Most people moved from China since end of Ming and the population rocketed when roc lost against PRC, so most people is basically Chinese
The abos are treated as subhuman by Chinese back in the good old days so it's hard to say that they love each other but it's been centuries since that happened so they're okay now
However, since it was ruled by Japan for a long time without the murder and rape but only making infrastructure and teaching Japanese to let them feel like real Japanese, the modern culture is different from PRC China, it's more like a mix of Chinese and Japanese culture
