He's fucking scary
Italian actors are just very wanted for the roles of olive skin bulls in movies
Oscars are political and Jewish, it's not merit-based

WHY
We stopped making good films about 20-30 years ago
Some films I can think of are:
>L'avventura
>Profumo di Donna (Scent of a woman, they also made a remake with al Pacino) - similar in the atmosphere to Plein Soleil
>Suspiria
>Milano Calibro 9
>Cinema Paradiso, a classic
>La notte
>Mediterraneo
>Amarcord
>Milano odia, la polizia non può sparare (Almost Human in English)
Call me by your name :3
When you used to make good cinema, it was rather popular in USSR
>American education
>german ""art""
>german ""music""
>german ""cuisine""
>german """"""women"""""""
Muuh metaphysics!

French and Italian cinema is shit but the level of their competitors is so low that they look good in comparison. Recent internationally recognized french films are basically entirely relying on memes & gimmicks to get noticed. Blue is the warmest color and The Artist come to mind

Oh well. I'm not going to argue about the quality of our movies, but what can you do when a translation requires either:
a. A wall of text every time somebody opens their mouth
b. Stripping the dialogue down to bare bones
c. Dubbing, which to be fucking honest only works in cartoons
We have movies about Finns. Comedy, of course.

There is movies that are complete shit who receive more Oscars than your country.
Hollywood is filled with jews without taste.
Same in Finnish :D
It was joint production actually. Great movie! Was it any popular in Finland?
