There are a lot of exchange students in my college, especially from the USA and France

They seem to enjoy mexico

We have shitloads of them.
Most end up in their exchange student bubble, which is exchange students + international business people.

Also I think most people are kind of sick of retarded Spainiards/Italians/Koreans that cannot ride a bike, or Germans speaking German doing German things.

>How do exchange students get treated in your country?
Fine. We like them and most Americans are generally interested by them.

>Spainiards/Italians/Koreans that cannot ride a bike

woot?

They are horrible at riding a bike, have no clue what the rules are and when they get drunk/stoned it's even worse.

>they don't interact with the local but form their own groups
Here I've only seen large groups of Chinese do this.

Depends on their skin color

>their own groups
consisting of international students. Germans are a bit hard to befriend with, desu.

Over here they exclusively befriend their own and international relations/business studies (which they themselves most likely are as well)

Normal students don't know a single exchange student, but people that do international studies have a class full of them.

In Europe we have Erasmus program which shuffles around students for half a year mainly between 'popular' destinations such as Spain, Italy, the Netherlands.
These people only come here to have fun, not actually to study anything. As the whole point of the program is to broaden your horizon.

It doesn't compare to foreign enrolled students at all.

Bump

fug i was thinking of doing my BA and eventually masters in Leiden/Utrecht/Groningen and im learning Dutch i dont wanna be seen as a subhuman exchange student

Very friendly desu. There was a Japanese girl few years ago she was a eye candy of all neighbor especially married or old women. She loved to chat with whole neighborhood.

Are there lots of exchnage students in Warsaw?

It's either because they are too shy or they don't like the locals. A friend of mine has an exchange student friend who didn't want to come out of his shell at first. but more than often they stick to themselves. Idk why they even make exchange years if they are too autistic to meet new people at the bar or the classroom.

I like it when someone tells this lie. Talk to exchange students and they will emidiatly push you away.
they mostly dont even try to interact with anything or anyone, they just come in, study, flirt with muh local grills and then leave while complaining.

Only Chinks get frowned upon.
But there are some stereotypes about Exchange students. For example people don’t want to live with them since all they do is smoke weed and invite over other exchange students to have parties.
They like the liberties of the Netherlands but have no responsibility

All those 3 cities are excellent choices btw
I would say Groningen is the nicest but Utrecht and Leiden would be better choices if you plan on visiting other cities a bit, as they have a far better location.

I want to be an exchange student.
Any tipps? where should I go for the best party experience?

There is a reason everyone goes to Spain. Also Porto.
In the Netherlands Groningen is the party city.

They have a great time until they realise they're cash cows and actually pay a lot more than the Dutch students.

>be in Facebook group for Exchange students looking for a room
>some of them reply to offerings of literal clausets for €550 per month
They pay Amsterdam prices

hmmm?

hmmm!

a butthurt German poster perhaps?

a rundown on this meme
>people who do this
almost all east asians, meds but only half of them especially spaniards and turks, poles and russians, brits, most french and germans
>people who don't do this
Americans, also brits, greeks, africans, Swedes, dutch, germans from N*rthrhine area and some poles and italians

From what I know

Dutch in Asia do it too. It's pretty common for Dutch who study Chinese to live in a Chinese speaking area for a year and waste it by sticking around each other all the time.
