Chile did for like 5months :^)

Argentina had the peronists and dictatorships which were almost as bad.

Chileans are rich all memes aside
If you compare them to the rest of the world they do live in the top 15% living conditions

They are decent

They are on the level of Italy/Spain which is pretty good.

The issue is not what they are, but what they will, Chile is dealing with a huge immigration problem, while Argentina needs to heal economically.

more like 3 years

4 major financial crisis in the XX century

dictatorships are shit no matter if left-wing or right-wing

Well, they aren't. In fact, they even are behind us. See the pic related for GDP per capita. Their HDI isn't better either.

This. They are just a little less rich than us but they have the potentisl to be as rich as us or maybe more.

>He fell for the PPP meme

Please, PPP was created so that 3rd world shitholes could feel better about themselves (muh cost of living). Real countries use nominal. You don't want your country to be seen as a shithole, do you?

Why wouldn't you want to factor in cost of living?

Only shitholers want to factor the cost in living.

Your economy is way more developed than there's

Argentina WAS good

Where do you get these charts anyway?

well, they have more purchasing power in their respectives countries, why would they care about the daily fluctuations of the dollar or how much their governement auctions FX reserves to cheapen the cost of living anyway? Nominal would be accurate if the whole work used the same currency

whole world*

HDI is better than memes like PPP

government letting people be lazy

corrupt politicians, dictatorships, shitty mentality, people who only see profit in the near future and can't /don't want to think long term

why do you fags insist on grouping us with rioplatenses?

50% of chileans earn less than 6k a year

IHDI*

Ausfag in Chile, shit isn't too bad, middle class people aren't really different to anywhere else in the west. Poor people are poorer though than in the west.

There is no middle class in Chile. There is only an upper class and a lower class.

That's not true. We have a very big middle class. But what you considere middle class is not the same to what we consider middle class here in south america.

lol no

Is this 1970 again?

Middle class = can live six months from savings after losing their job, can travel to other countries, can save money for pension, can at least buy a home with a garden together with his wife, can raise children and finance their university.

This does not exist in Chile. A "middle class" 20 year old man cannot afford an apartment on his own.

There is only rich and poor and of course as always lower class people who believe themselves middle class.

>a wild peronism appears

>HDI
>Not 33% GDP PPP Per capita

This is true, around 40% of the population here lives in the street because they can't afford a shitty apartment

there was only 4 million people in argentina in 1895, most living off agriculture.

argentina got fucked by the british stopping the imports to europe.

>can live six months from savings after losing their job
yes
>can travel to other countries
yes, people are doing this a lot
>can at least buy a home with a garden together with his wife
this will depend of the city
>can raise children and finance their university
this one is half true

also
>can save money for pension
that's mandatory here. every month 10% of your payment goes to a retirement fund

Venezuela was good too
