t. spic trying to start a discussion about his country/native language as a cry for attention and acceptance but has to use an american flag because he's either a border jumper, who is too incompetent to stay in his country and actually improve the situation of his shithole home country, or a VPN/proxy fag because he knows that if he posted this with a spic flag it would be attention whoring and everyone would dismiss his shit spic thread

Chile

Chile

I've heard it's a toss-up between Uruguay and Chile, but what do I know.

education is a really hard thing to compare, but we could check out individual illiteracy rates for each country(cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ then you browse on the mini map on the right, this is very interesting actually) , then higher education institutions with

well yes but I kinda wanted the opinions of SOuth Americans themselves. Thanks for the sources though. Brazil seems to be number one although they have massive problems right now

they list their sources with updated information, whats wrong with it?

hating brazil is a meme that everyone, including ourselves do
not saying its paradise(far from it lol) but the outside vision is very narrow

Meme index. They only count absolute numbers, for example, if you have 1 million soldiers without weapons, it will still be better than 300.000 well armed and trained soldiers

what do you say about this one?

in hindsight, yeah, i agree with you, thats a bad index, but it should be enough to give the swede an idea of whats going on down here

What do you guys say to the people who credit Pinochet for that by killing of leftists?
>Panama
Cool, is it the canals doing or something else?

we call them retards usually

>What do you guys say to the people who credit Pinochet for that by killing of leftists?
choroy

lel. Well I know nothing of Chiles history so I won't comment, but I'm hearing more and more of that narrative (and not just from Jow Forums btw), Sweden has a lot of chileans and although most of them are leftists who came here during Pinochet, a few chileans, whilst condemning his actions, have told me the swing to the right helped your economy in the long run

>flag of Sweden
>American flag

Retards. Thank god that they're slowly dissapearing from our country

I think it's just copy-pasta

The country with Pinochet was good if you were part of the 1% richer of the country AND pro-america, for the rest of the people was shit

But Panama is not South Ameri-
Oh

By bad, my dyslexia betrayed me, I thought he was talking about latin america.

close enough?

That title goes to PR tho

But PR don't belong to South America tho

It is complicated.
Geographically, we are in Central America. But when you go to the history of the region, Panama had more to do with South America. We were part of Colombia. And during the colonial period, we were part of Nueva Granada. We even had closer relationships with the Anglo-Caribbean and the Virreinato del Perú than with New Spani (Mexico and Central America).
Even today, if you ask a Central American, especially Guatemalans, if Panama is part of Central America it is likely that they tell you that we are not.

understandable. So what is going right for Panama in your opinion? Why are people saying you and Chile are doing good?

this cunt made this cunt possible

Well, Chile is doing better in most respects. But we now have a higher GDP (PPP) per capita.
But other than that we are doing decent but not better than Uruguay, Chile or Argentina. We do have a stable economy. Our inflation is not too hight. We grow between 4% - 6%. I think that Panama has done a good job at exploiting its geographical location. Our position has historically been our most important asset. Pretty much every important historical event in our history since 1501 had to do with the interoceanic transit. So it is a good thing that the government invests in logistic infrastructure like the Canal expansion, the Panamá-Colón Highway, the Airport expansion. The construction sector is another important component of the economy. Finally, the financial services. There are close to 100 banking institutions in Panama.

good image desu

France.

Watch out, the suicidal gook sure showed us.

well nice to hear things are going well for you guys. I really wanna visit the canal, feels like one of those historic places you have to visit in your life. Even though I suspect it will look like any other harbour...but still

It is pretty cool. You get to see the containerships get elevated by the set of locks. But there is other stuff you can do. Like, if you ever come to Panama, visiting the Casco Antiguo and Panama la Vieja is a most do. There is also Bocas del Toro if you like the beach or Chiriquí and Valle de Antón if you like the temperate climate and the mountainous rainforest.

Now sho per capta gdp you dumb pardo

You cant compare your tiny city sized country to one as big as brazil tho.
