I'm afraid that doesn't exist here in Norway.
There has to be. Are you that americanized ?
Nothing worth sharing has been made in that period.
not even one obscure black metal band

I've found cool Danish Dub
Most Norwegians hate Norwegian.
Maybe there is some, but nothing that has ever reached popularity. The only Norwegian songs we hear are really old.
I'm trying to think, there are some cartoon dubs but that's not originally Norwegian obviously.
Actually. Search for "russesanger" in Youtube, many of them are in Norwegian.
Here's one example, one of the top results:

Yeah, I'm just exaggerating, but it's pretty bad. You pretty much have to go out of your way to find new music in Norwegian I feel like.
I looked around a bit at songs by artists I know sing in Norwegian and found a few. I can't vouch for its quality though.
Kaizers Orchestra / Aldri vodka, Violeta!

Postgirobygget / Musikk fra Sloko

CC Cowboys & Kaveh / Alle Vet Ingenting

Here's one.

I've never really listened to russesanger before, but now I've listened for a little bit, and it's actually amazing, lots of songs about drugging people down and raping them, it's amazing that this is still allowed. So refreshing.
It's a really qt song
Dutch music is insanely popular here.

only obscure music played on local radio stations in rural provinces.
She's amazing but only sings in English
There has to be cool swedish hipster music somewhere
funky
If Abba would have been Dutch..
Really? And Sweden used to make so many big, international hits in the 2000s. This is sad
das rite
Our music has sucked ass ever since the begging of the 2000's. Especially on the rock scene.
are you for real
rap & american pop is bigger than ever
10/10 desu, makes me wanna get off my fat ass and dance
Why don't you send something in your language to Eurovision?
this is cool
Lots of artist think that by singing in English they will become more popular, while it makes their art more bland, when in fact they could be more unique by using their native language in a contemorary way.
Which is what makes it suck desu. I honestly think something like what the Dutchbro's been posting would probably not do well with the jury but the public vote would love it.
I think one of the reasons is that typical English language songs aren't in this genre either. So if you write an English language song you won't use this genre.
What do you call this genre?
Clown shit
STFU snownigger.
If it's more marching bands and hoompa hoompa shit, then it's usually carnavalsmuziek (carnival music)
If it's more accordeon songs and nostalgic music then it's het levenslied (life songs).
But in general we just call it Dutch music.
There are also two other sub genres. One that farmers listen to, but they don't release many songs. And organ music in the center of the country, but you won't hear that often either. Dutch rap music is also pretty big.
Less chance of winning then. Quite pathetic I know.
Truly sad. I hope something in native language wind this year. I guess it limits my choices to Albania, Hungary (YES PLZ), France, Italy, Estonia or Slovenia.

Eurovision should force each nation to sing in its native language.
Portuguese representation has just arrived

Not from 2010 though
This was our last Dutch language Eurovision winner. It's an ancient song by now.
I'd be all for that desu.
Our last Dutch language Eurovision submission. It had some organ music in the background, which you have in the center of the country here.
It fits in this thread because it was in 2010. She didn't really sing really on key, but whatever.
This. Italy last year had my vote tbqh. France is one of the few nations proud enough to usually sing it their native language.
She just couldn't sing desu. Not sure why they send her.
Same. I also voted for Italy last year. He should've won desu. Video related. The Italian Eurovision song last year.
He wasn't as good live though. I really like Hungary last year. I really like their song this year as well.

We should have taken this to the final desu
