Does EU have an official language? Is it French?

Attached: ichigo-mashimaro-miu_7729.jpg (320x240, 45K)

The EU has 24 official languages

reuters.com/article/us-eu-france-language/monsieur-non-french-eu-envoy-walks-out-in-english-row-idUSKBN1HX1ZC

24 official languages is the same as not having official language at all.
Europeans always were biggest hypocrites of this world.

You can speak in the Europarliament in your language and it will be translated, so all 24 languages are official
The commission translates its documents in the 3 procedural languages (English, German, French)

Yes.

>After several years of producing the butter, Vereshchagin took his product to the 1878 Paris Exposition, where it won a gold medal. He then labelled his butter "Parisian butter", and it became known as a delicacy in both Russia and Europe.[2]

>A factory to produce the butter was built in 1916. In 1917, after the Russian Revolution, the factory was taken over by the state, and production decreased. Later, export of it was banned.[2] In 1939, authorities renamed it to Vologda butter.[2] In 1991, after the fall of the Soviet Union, private factories in Vologda started up to again produce Vologda butter for export.[2]

>In 2010, after years of rampant counterfeiting, the Russian government declared that only butter created in the Vologda region would be allowed to be labelled as Vologda butter, creating Russia's first-ever protected designation of origin.[1]

Pretty boring desu

Regional bullshit holidays started today normies outside won't stop being loud cunts preventing me from sleeping

>taking the occasional u out of words like colour or favourite
>a meaningfully different language
>a better language in any way whatsoever

Oh no the existence of American simplified English is getting under my skin so hard ahhh invite us back EU

Hey.

I think the point was that English is popular and used as a lingua franca because of the US, not the UK

But that's not true though, and especially not in Europe.
And even if it was - it's literally still English. They're not different languages.

change ur name retard

Hello please EU send more money to Viktor Orbán. We want more stadiums

It is though. The US are the superpower

I've left 200 zlotych with your mom last night. Does it count?

>the English language appeared in 1945

It wasn't so widely adopted before; it became a global language only after the US hegemony and internet

>an anglo country spawned from an english-speaking colony of anglos
>a world wide web invented by a brit
>an internet invented by anglos
>the english language itself
These are all just anglo things. There's no meaningful division between US vs UK in this sense.
Is "US English"/"American" an official EU language? Do Europeans widely learn US English over the UK equivalent? Is US English particularly different from the UK equivalent? No, to all? Then what's the point?

Death to the EU and all its cronies

+10 rubles have been added to your bank account

And what are you going to do about them?

Attached: s.png (1256x2204, 64K)

>moving the goalpost
I wasn't discussing the origins of the language, nor it's similarity or lack thereof with British English

Switzerland and Norway are in the EU sphere of influence

F**k you, European Union!
It feels good to tell you this!
Poland is depressing,
And there's vampires in Romania.
Spain is far too hot
And where the f**k is Lithuania?
To be fair, Slovenia's lovely,
(We're only kidding, it sucks too!)

Death to Russian Federation too

Don't be so rude.

Long live the USA

Are you russofob?

+15 cents were added to your bank account

>15 cents were subtracted from your student debt*

No, just not really fond of the idea of my country being controlled from another country.

Finally, I'm rich

I'm just pointing out that there's no need to reduce it to a UK vs US binary. It's just English, meaning our language. All the mechanisms that led to it's spread have been anglo mechanisms, not American mechanisms. The US being a 'superpower' from 1945 on isn't why it's the world's first language, and taking the letter u out of some random words doesn't make it a new or separate language.

Your beautiful country was saved from Nazi by Russia. Didn't you like it?

>The US being a 'superpower' from 1945 on isn't why it's the world's first language
That's wrong though

No. I wish Patton had the balls to ignore his bosses and went to liberate Prague first.

Why don't you prefer your own country had some balls and punch Nazi in the face?

So if the USA hadn't emerged as a super-power after WW2 then English as a language would only be on-par with say, Italian?
Is that what you're saying?

In retrospect I do but I completely understand why the government chose not to sacrifice the whole country in a gesture.

>le pretty blonde right wing woman
wow I hate the EU now

Nope, because we don't have colonies. Probably French or Spanish, or even Russian if they had won the cold war

ah yes, that union where unelected commissioners create, amend and pass directives. Imagine having a legislative arm of government that is also the executive branch

Hey thanks for the commieblocks russians

its hot here
