ABSOLUTE STATE OF EUROPE

I hope they ban single use plastic. Based EU

Daily reminder - EU is failed state and have no future

straws can be made from biodegradable materials, no need to use pl*Stic

Good eurocucks.

>get shot during arrest

>be American
>go to pet store
>All the dogs have guns
>You have to pick the one that is willing to shoot you so he can be a guard dog.

France has already done it

Italy as well on certain items, nothing wrong with it
Bioplastic is basically indistinguishable from real plastic

But thats a pretty good decision?

based

california is banning straws too.

Very good. Plastic is literally the worst thing to have happened to the ecosystem in the past 600.000 million years.

very good news. micro plastics are infesting our food chain and contaminating our water supply

>Americans is incapable of understand the impact that trash causes.

I HATE HAVING TO SHARE THIS BOARD WITH MENTALLY HANDICAPPED NIGGERS.

this is good, saves our environment

>be memerican
>drink liquids contained in jars with a straw

based & a good idea

An american defending LITERAL TRASH.

>order a ice truck deliver
>uses a disposable cup because he is too lazy to wash something (even owning a dish washing machine)
>micro wave it
>add sugar painted in green because package say it's healthy to eat green
>throw cup throw windows
A nice cup of american tea.

Plastic is a scourge. Anything reducing the amount of plastic in the world is good. It has its place in the economy, and it's oversized considering the damage it does.

You didn't even understand the article. They are banning petroleum-based plastics, not straws

I remember when the UK was sperging out because the EU banned the usage of heavy metals in food packaging and they could no longer mix their fish and chips with lead.

Pic related

THEY FUCKING DID WHAT? I heard that some 100 years ago, people used lead pipes, but i did not know that there is dumb enough people to mix food with after that.

Attached: 1343700850915.jpg (550x550, 57K)

>THEY FUCKING DID WHAT?
Fish and chips is traditionally served inside an old newspaper, which back in the days was printed using lead ink.
So the grease of the fish n chips would absorb some of the ink, which contained lead.

daily reminder eu is not a state nor a country

this is a good thing though, all the supermarkets here are cutting down on plastic

c u r v e d b a n a n a s

>fucking unfree faggots won't even be allowed to dump a million tons of slow-degrading plastics into the environment anymore, haha what a bunch of losers, fuck them, America best country in the world

Not yet

I lol'd. That reminded me that we were in a similar situation. Our small town got money from the EU to upgrade our water supply, because it was contaminated with heavy metals and stuff. Now that it's fixed, the water tastes over chlorinated and super bland.

It's really strange but I genuinely preferred the one polluted with arsenic. It just doesn't taste the same.

I say fuck the EU 99.9% of the time but I like this.
Straws in general are fucking retarded. You have a mouth and lips, use them. Also I used to volunteer at a bird watching station as a teenager and sometimes we would find dead birds and the vast majority of them would have plastic inside them. Zip ties, bottle caps, plastic utensils, rubber bands etc. That is both sad and unnecessary.
Why do Americans not have souls?

Attached: Brosarps-s-backar.jpg (1200x675, 383K)

(because of EU legislations)

Why? food grade paper is cheaper than news paper.

I wish my country cut down in plastic too. Our biggest problem in brazil are soda bottles. Niggers are complete addicted to sugar drinks and they throw the bottler wherever they go. Every fucking year the black neighbors flood because there is too much plastic bootless in the pipes. Works like a clock and they refuse to stop throwing trash in street.

Fuck you any good chippy still puts it in newspaper

its being done independently lad

Read this thread.
Europe is done. Done.

These newspapers are
1. not actual newspaper usualy but just lookalikes
2. don't contain lead ink as that is illegal
traiditions.

i'm all for federal europe but it's too late for that.
nationalist got too strong if they try now it will fall apart.

This, only trashy people like Americans use it.

It's literally the best time in the last 20-30 years for that

>traiditions

>let me tell you how your country is
Truly an American-tier post

Attached: 1525215357920.jpg (744x735, 91K)

This really cannot be stated any more accurately.

It's illegal to serve food in a packaging that contains lead. So either the newspaper is made with soy ink or it's not an actual newspaper but just food packaging made to look like newspaper.

He probably works with something related and wanted to share. Why are you so angry?

Britons are a weird and hateful bunch

They always do this. And yes I have worked in a restaurant and we served our fries in a packaging that had a newspaper print on it but wasn't actual newspaper.

So it's not a good fish and chips place, but bottom of the barrel one, which can't even be arsed to buy newspaper themed food wrap

excellent post

If they're so concerned about plastic waste then why aren't they threatening Asia over their filthy habits? IIRC something like 80% of the plastic waste in the world's oceans comes from east and south Asia.

It's also illegal to nick pint glasses from the pub but everybody still does it

>angry
Fuck off monkey

State of the Fr*nch

Asian countries are not in the EU

Adding to the trash problem.

Black neighborhoods throw so much trash in the ground, that every year they suffer with malaria, dengue, zika and now, yellow fever. That's right, after half a century of eradicated yellow fever, some fuck tards who imported sick monkeys from Africa (UMA DELICIA STIKES AGAIN) end up spreading it to half the country.

It's butcher's paper used to wrap greasy food like fish and chips? At least that's what we've always used here, even if the outside is wrapped in old newspaper, which it rarely is because actual commercial paper for food prep is far, far, far cheaper, stores infinitely longer and can be acquired in bulk in a single delivery.

>It's also illegal to nick pint glasses from the pub but everybody still does it
People do this. Not businesses.

Yeah, but the EU is an economic bloc that could lay a serious hurt on their economies. That gives them leverage

I would vote for you.

they will have to join the EU first before the EU can ban plastic straws there.
Tradition tells you have to use a newspaper containing as much lead as possible

>It's also illegal to nick pint glasses from the pub but everybody still does it
If you can't understand the difference in responsibilities and reputation between a publican and a patron then you may need to take a step back and re-read through the conversation.

>2018
>Plastic cups
Last time i've seen something this old over paper cups is what, 10 years ago? 15? And paper straws aren't uncommon too.

reusable plastic consumes many more resources and nobody resuses it enough to break even

>he doesn't own a business stealing and then reselling pint glasses

Attached: contempt500x354.jpg (500x354, 33K)

I'm saying that the EU can threaten them, not that they can legislate half a world away.

Because we're not CUNTS like Americans who expect everyone else to make the first step. Also cleaning up at home first will have more immediate benefits to your own health.

>Tradition tells you
That business owners don't go out of their way for expensive and awkward alternatives unless they are charging an arm and a leg for it.

Thanks you, EU, for caring about the enviroment while the americans keep denying climate change

Attached: 1525966488115.png (1377x1080, 524K)

Afaik it tries to enforce its rules globally. Many EU standards are used even outside the EU in several topics

I doubt the EU is going to play it that hard over an issue that is not 'that' big.
Dailymail readers take fish n chips really serious.
The Liverpool city council wanted to ban new businesses from opening up that made streetfood since it only caused litter, so they ran an article stating Liverpool hated Britain and British culture.

So that's the power of British Entrepreneurial spirit. Impressive

Attached: 1522610119781.jpg (216x200, 5K)

>climate change
You know, earth used to be without ice caps, so planet is fine.

>IIRC something like 80% of the plastic waste in the world's oceans comes from east and south Asia.
Dude, where do you think your trash go? For decades your government is sending trash to Asia and Africa to use their landfields. This is why so many trash end there. BUT IT'S STILL YOUR TRASH!

Attached: IV-AA736_WASTEt_9U_20150910130010.jpg (700x406, 72K)

A slavic barbarian living in a hut in the middle of siberia wouldn't understand.

yes we are capable to understand what you cause

Why do they need to ban it when you could just recycle them instead? I don't get it

>IIRC something like 80% of the plastic waste in the world's oceans comes from east and south Asia.
It's amazing how people comment on the pollution in East Asia, South East Asia and India without being aware that the bulk of said pollution is created in creating cheap export products for mostly American owned corporations.
Also, the USA pay huge amounts of money to literally ship loads of waste to these regions and dump in there. There are niche industries in India revolving around the recycling of western dumped plastics and turning them into overpriced garments being sold to westerners (top kek).

>Dailymail readers
Are too stupid to tell the difference between an authentic product and a cheaper knockoff.

recycling is a meme and doesn't really work. the only long-term solutions are to use biodegradable materials or reduce the amount of trash in general (but the latter is very unlikely to happen)

starts at home and all that jazz
with that rhetoric you'll just be stuck in a cycle of "yeah, but THEY still do it, why should we stop?" then the accused country goes "yeah, but YOU do so why should WE stop?"

I know more than you will ever be able to understand.

The point is there is no freedom in Europe. In America, if you tell people to stop because it is bad they will stop using plastic voluntarily and in good faith, But in Europe it is has to be ruled a punishable offence to work.

Guarana is an absolutely based soda though.

Why not both?

Your image of russia is very delusional. We can into S-P-A-C-E

>reduce the amount of trash in general
Could start by removing Germany then

Recycling is literally the latter. You're taking what would be trash and reusing it.

It's our way of coping I suppose. Europe and the USA are the biggest consumers of produced stuff on the planet. Yet we blame North-Africa, Asia, etc for polluting the planet.
One of them is clever enough to run an article 'EU WANTS TO GET RID OF FISH N CHIPS!!!' and apparently they can read.

>recycle them
How? If multinational corps. knew of a way to make money out of recycling these waste plastic products, don't you think they'd be making billions off our waste products?

>In America, if you tell people to stop because it is bad they will stop using plastic voluntarily and in good faith
yeah just like they did with high-fructose corn syrup lmao

>they will stop using plastic voluntarily and in good faith
no they won't, the general public everywhere is retarded

>In America, if you tell people to stop because it is bad they will stop using plastic voluntarily and in good faith
lmao

Because too many people still throw their trash in the ditch, especially small items like wrappers and straws. People have been told not to litter for years and decades, they keep doing it, the logical conclusion is that people are ignorant fools and need bans to finally fix the mess they keep causing.

*shoots you in the head*
what now snowmonkeys

This. If there is one problem the free market isn't going to fix it's us destroying the planet or at least making a mess of everything.
I remember when Primark opened up in this town and the ENTIRE square was filled with thrown away McDonalds, fries, icrecream, etc packaging. Some people are just fucking animals that need to be herded.

Because it's extremely expensive (and carbon inefficient) to recycle it. You need to collect it, clean it, cut in tiny pieces, add virgin plastic and them inject again.
You wast more energy than simple produce more and leave it around. Same shit with plastic bags. They are not worth recycle.

But things like glass and metal, the thing is different. It's easy to collect/maintain, easy to clean (just melt it lol, the dirty will separate) and produce more.

Lol, that's why you need EU regulations so Zuck won't watch you fap?

Dude..
