FunFair is really interesting. For those of you who don't know, FunFair is a casino platform developer which aims to license white label casino games to individual operators (casinos).
Their CEO is Jez San, a guy who successfully founded pkr.com and made a killing back in the day, and they have been poaching employees from other actual online gaming companies—and not small companies, either. They actually pulled David Greyling from William Hill, which is huge.
Today they announced a partnership with a game developer and had Alice Cooper shilling their new slot machine game, which actually looks pretty fun and I think has a lot of appeal to the type of people who would actually gamble large amounts at a blockchain casino.
Their tech is legit and the company itself is legit. It's honestly one of the most serious projects in this space as far as I can tell. You can actually play right now on the testnet using metamask—it's pretty amazing compared to the alternatives (Etheroll, Edgeless): showcase.funfair.io/
Are there any other Jow Forumstards watching this? I don't think it's going to make millionaires out of us or anything, but it seems like an awesome project. I'm honestly really excited for it in the future and have a modest stake in it (although as I said, I don't expect it to explode in price overnight).
I think it could be huge once it hits the mainnet some time in June.
you have to be insane to think a successful sportsbetting dex wouldn't be better than fuckin casino games
since wagerr failed bc their team is full of retards, this leaves a big opening
only other project that covers this is GIFcoin and that's a security token that pays dividends (but they have a fully-functional sportsbook)

yeah, exactly

m-maybe I'm missing your point this has been shilled a lot here lately, I'll take a look so far their team looks pretty mediocre and they've just got Jez listed as an 'advisor'—big fuckin' deal IMO
but I'll give it a chance

>betterbetting.org are you retarded? they're completely different projects backed by the same community. it isn't a matter of whether universal betting > casino platform.
I'm happy desu, just want to be happier in June after a successful beta mainnet release and the first casino goes live. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, here's hoping. I got in at 20c, still stings. Think positive!

Alright, I took a look at BetterBetting's technical docs and I'm really unimpressed. I'm a developer and all they've got so far are basically stubs for an API which is really fucking stupid. They seem to have just a single full-time developer and the rest of the guys are businessmen in various capacities. I'm not saying it'll flop but this is clearly not on the same level as FunFair which has something like 40 full time employees now and has a working, engineered solution, with basically everything up and running already.
BetterBetting is more of a speculative pipe dream at the moment. If the team were less sweaty looking I might consider it, but for now I'm not going to do anything more than keep it on my periphery.

Yes, it seems like they should count their blessings with Jez as an advisor because right now their "product" looks like a shitshow.

I miss the old FUN threads from a few months ago, this one is lacking in personality.
>Yeah, here's hoping. I got in at 20c, still stings. Think positive! Brutal, but hopefully it'll look like peanuts in June. Or at least you might get your money back, heh...
Jonathan Perez
Btw, did you buy in with fiat and go right to FUN, or were you in crypto already?

If you have a penis, you prefer sportsbooks. If you have a feminine penis or vagene, you prefer casino games.
No reason you can't back both.

Difference being, of course, that one product, FunFair, is good, and the other is quite mediocre at present
