How do we save Africa?

When the Democratic Republic of the Congo got independence from Belgium in 1960 there were only 16 university graduates, at that time the country had a population of 15.2 million people.

Japan was able to engage with the west and develop of their own accord in the post-Meiji period. They were quite powerful going into WW2, even if their living conditions hadn't quite caught up with the west.
Ideally that would have been how Africa developed too, but European powers instead carved it up between them and for the most part neglected the native population.

Obviously you should be able to improve your own country, but it's more than understandable that the Congo is lagging behind there. A better country to point the finger at there would be Zimbabwe

Basically I'm more talking about the Congo specifixally, since it suffered the worst effects of colonialism

The whiteys aren't destroying their countries anymore, but they did create an environment that was prone to collapse and it is going to take a lot of time for them to improve, although we are seeing signs of it today in some countries.

Africa is still one of the most resource rich continents on the planet. But rather than using those resources to better themselves they sell them to west and to Asia because that obviously makes more money in the short run.
Of course I understand colonialism fucked up a lot of things in Africa. If you just draw lines on the map not caring about cultural differences of the people who live there then you will have problems. When you leave and put one tribe in power then it gets even worse.
Well I meant the countries that have had turmoil and war for centuries. The countries that are doing well are doing well because they have a stable government that actually wants the country to do well.

Africa is the second largest continent in the world. There's no possible way to save Africa as a whole. You need to focus on individual countries.
