I'm curious, Jow Forums, what was the worst trade you've ever made?

After successfully trading BTC and ETH for about 3 months I made an account on Binance. I was looking around for good coins to buy and came across HSR, which had a huge fucking dip and to this point the mantra of "buy the dip" had served me well. What can I say, I went allin on this fucking shitcoin, lost like 50% during the night and then kept holding it because I thought it would bounce. It fucking didn't. Basically blew up my account. Felt like killing myself at first but in the end it was a very valuable lesson.

This, 100% this. Then taking my only positive gains in XRB at $16. XLM and Ark profit shares are my only friends now. 200 dollars untill I break even again lol

My entire portfolio... I followed some youtube kike's advice and started buying only fractions of the total amount I wanted to buy each week to "dollar-cost average and mitigate risk." Could have bought all in at 4k. Average buy in was 13.8k

I bought a whole fucking bitcoin at 20k and lost all of it in less than 2 weeks. I just broke even like 5 days ago.

Going strat at ath in january. Had the chance to get most of it back but was too greedy. Sitting at a 74 %loss. Still not selling

I lost 6k one time getting liquidated shorting bitcoin with a x10 leverage. It was a lot of money for me to lose at my age.

Bought a shitload of LTC in 2011 and lost it at GOX after turning it all into BTC. It didn't matter too much to me since I was just in HS and learning, but fuck me. I left and came back December '17 after I started seeing it in the news again. Ended up being just in time to sink cash into LTC at literal ATH. I've learned a lot since then though and have basically 10x'd my initial investment still, so I just consider that a practical lesson in trading. Not touching LTC again though, that shit will sink compared to XLM
