Yes. 1905 they left the union with Sweden. It didn't really change anything, they had been practically independant since 1814, but they take a lot of pride in it for some reason.
Some sections of Swedish politics wanted to go to war against Norway for it, but the workers movement was staunchly against it and told the King and conservatives to fuck right off.

In 1814 the union with Denmark came to and end and Norway was going to be ceded to Sweden. Norway didn't like this, so they started a war with Sweden. The war lasted like two months and ended up with Norway entering a union with Sweden, but with it's own constitution and parliament.
