Red Rock canyon is amazing for hiking and nature and Summerlin is the more upscale family friendly area
I moved here 5 years ago from L.A. and it was the best decision I ever made. Could actually afford to buy a house here and I never go to casinos and strip clubs, people who live here actually rarely do, it's just for tourists.

Last year I flew to Ketchikan AK, got a charter flight in town to a remote lake about 30 miles away, stayed in a forestry service cabin for a week (recreation.gov). No other people, no cars, no planes - just me, the lake and whatever the fuck I wanted to do. 10/10 would recommend

New Zealand. It will be most incredible trip of your life. Going into Winter now, not sure what your seasonal preferences are. But the diverse terrain, quality of food, quirky people, and laundry list of crazy outdoor shit to do is simply unmatched. I am a burger and went three years ago. It was the best month of my life bar none.
