Just 120 m
is not finished yet. 240m
Oslo Plaza, a hotel in Oslo. It stands 117m tall.
Technically there's a building 3m taller, but it's ugly and used for industrial purposes, so meh.
the 4 tallest buildings in spain are all in teh same place, they call them Cuatro Torres
Tallest is PwC tower, 236m
Turning Torso - 190 meters.
Totally fits in with the rest..
lighthouseaarhus.dk/
128m will be done next year
First Tower, 231m, rehabilitated by KPF
Thank god the 300 meter tall Hermitage Plaza twin towers will overshadow this goblino skyscraper
Left one is in Moscow - Tower "Vostok" 373,7M.
Right one is in Saint Petersburg - Lakhta Center not yet ready, but already over 400M and will be 462,7M
is that the only skyscraper in malmo? why?
Osaka Abeno Harukas 300m
Because of the earthquake, it is difficult to build a very high building.
Not finished count?
Then puerta reforma
335 m
serbia
this is the highest non-tv tower building in serbia i think. the flat roof is at 115m, which is the same as another building that they list as highest (higher by like less than a meter), but with this little restaurant on the top (not including the spire), it has around 135-140 meters
because theres no point in building them, turning torso for one was and has continued to be a financial failure (it is a residential building for richfags)
259m
No one needs them. Turning Torso is a massive loss.
Very elegant. I do enjoy the one rising near Shibuya
Buildinglets, when will they learn...
This is the tallest building in Finland, 134,5 meters tall
>none of them are in Europe
mee sinä siitä helvettiin autisti
Why does it gives me the soviet shacking?
towerlets
Tornikin on korkeempi kun toi vitun Cirruksen paska, vitun paskanpuhuja
That's an old diagram because Lakhta Centre could squeeze in there
541.3m
ei mitään hiekkalinnoja muillekkin oli sanomatta selvää
because we were gommies
although it was probably one of the best commie buildings at the time. the restaurant on the top was rotating and the second part was actually a business space. i think it's a nice building. with some refurbishing like installing more modern windows and glass panels it would look just fine.
It's not officially opened yet.
Also next year the 1km Jeddah Tower will be completed.
I tough that Yugoslavia was a different kind of gommies.
I seem to have messed up, how embarrassing, this seems to be the new tallest building since 2014, 88.5 meters
and to clarify, no towers like the other Finn posted.
Jesi ikada bio na vrhu gore?
The Jeddah Tower has been on hold for months now because of the corruption crackdown by the Saudi Prince
So the 1300-1500 meter Dubai Creek Tower will likely be the first vertical human structure to reach the 1km mark sinxe they've almost finished the foundations.
we weren't a part of the soviet block but we were still communists so we were building brutalist buildings for large scale public housing just like the soviets. it was different but not completely different
Da... strasno nesto.. usro sam se xD
Isozaki Tower in Milan, 209m
Italians hate skyscrapers
I see. Thanks for the piece of history.
Mi smo isli s razredom na ekskurziju u osnovnoj bilo je predobro =) Imam cak i sliku toga s frendovima. Sjecam se da smo cak i bacili neke maramice dole
wise use of funds here
i just checked it and it only costs about 1 billion. i mean, it is a lot, but if you consider that a stadium like wembley costed even more, it really does look like a good idea to build this kind of stuff. i mean petronas towers put malaysia on the map. projects like this really gather a lot of publicity. i really wonder why poor countries aren't building more 1km+ high towers. many countries spend more than a billion on tourism PR over the course of decades
It's fucking smart to build tall inconic structures because they increase the land value tenfold and bring more prestige ti the city, that's why this kind of project is always accompanied by large real estate projects
blago tebi... ja jos nemam posao... ali imam neke cigle sto sam nesljedio od rodbine ( tocnije deda ). barem krov imam gotov hahah sad samo 5-6 katova i raditi djecu cijele dane =)
205m but unfinished
I'll do the world's tallest residential building which is in NYC.
432 Park Avenue.
425.5 m
The architect designed it based on a trashcan. It stands out a lot from surrounding buildings due to it's greater heights. You don't want to know what a place in it goes for.
My favorite is Chrysler Building in NYC.
Demolish it
so what do u think lads
haha ja sam iz josipdola. hvala imas PM. tamo cemo nastaviti
Modern British architecture is very, very ugly
is this from new Avengers movie?
>used chalk
giant toblerone
Former Trump Tower. It's 284 m or 933 feet
this is what happens when you let shitalians do work
>all these fugly skyscrapers
NYC needs some new Art Deco buildings
seems alright, atleast you don't do ridiculous shit like the gulf states
MOSQUE HASSAN II
210 METERS
660 FT
OUR GREAT LATE KING HASSAN II BUILT IT AND HE MADE EVERYONE PAY FOR IT
Looks like Arirang or whatever the North Korean one is called.
el ogre de las americas
Poor man's Burj Al Arab
it looks like a standard American skyscraper. It's so sad to see the same volumes everywhere over the world
Renzo Piano is an architecture God
Renzo Piano is a fucking jewoan
Can we all just take a minute to admire the balls it takes to build such an ugly hotel right next to the holiest place of the Islamic world? I'd probably blow myself up right next to the architect if I was a muslim
exactly
so i'm wondering why everyone isn't doing it
why don't they build some crazy complex with super tall buildings around where the brussels atomium for example? that area was always meant to be the showcase of modern architecture and innovation, so nothing modern or crazy would seem out of place. a couple of billion is peanuts for a developed european country, even if it only has 10 million people. plus it wouldn't be the state building it, you could have a bunch of companies that are already spending a fortune on office space team up and build it (maybe with some encouragement from the state). i mean the office space is already very expensive and most companies end up setting up shop in ugly "tech parks" on some fields in the middle of nowhere, where their workers don't even have a place to go and have coffee, let alone do anything else interesting
skyscrapers are tacky and every single architect alive today should be lined up and shot for their disgusting crimes
especially the people behind """futuristic""" looking cubes and deformed pyramids, these buildings are hideous, an insult to my eyes
Jeddah tower looks nice
I'm so glad someone posted our Croatian pride Villa ( ex.Toranj ) Lukrecija. Too bad the photo is from 2011 before the owner put lion statues as guards in front of the garage. IMO it looks badass with the lions. Why is everyone posting pictures from movies?
Agreed. Lord Foster has taken a 342m shit on my city.
>implying they don't have all their saudi educated imams praising their ugly crap
The tallest building in somalia is a church built by italians in the 1920s, niggers cant do anything even if they want to.
>NYC needs some new Art Deco buildings
Yeah I always liked the Chrysler building and a lot of the others have beautiful design on the inside.
Oh say can you see
This ugly shit, 126 meters
>NYC needs some new Art Deco buildings
They do. Skyscrapers used to be beautiful, and elegant.
by the daawns eearly liiiight
And currently in construction this uglier shit next to it that should be 202m
Whatttt soooo proudly weeee haill'd
It's true that the Atomium feels empty and lonely and could need some abeno harukas-style skyscrapers around
Is that a phone?
Costanera Center, 300 fucking meters
kek, it does look like an old Nokia
Tower Verre is neo Gotham Art Deco
Are there more skyscrapers planned near Costanera ?
yes, the whole heysel plateau and the exibition are seems pretty run down. art deco and moderne industrial buildings with broken windows etc. but with a little bit of funding, it could be refurbished, and it could really be the place for a complex of tall modern buildings. then all the companies that are scattered in the inaccessible fields all around brussels could move there and you'd have a good place for tech, business and tourism
Unicredit Tower
231 m
A lot of muslims (including Sunni) around the world regularly criticise the Saudi kingdom for mishandeling Mecca, especially when they destroyed early Ottoman architecture.
here's the other side, looking from across that big building towards the atomium. i mean, just remove these huge parking lots underground and you've already got a lot of building space. also, most of these large production halls, aside from the ones closest to the middle of the plateau seem pretty worthless and could be torn down to create additional space. i know the building in front of the pond might seem grey and crappy, but it's actually quite impressive when you're there in person and could look great with some polishing up
it looks fine. it would be shit if it was higher, but at 126 meters it's not really going to be towering the whole city and be too pretentious. it's allright.
this one on the right is looks pretty bad tho
National library (174m)
art deco really does bring you back to the good old times when the white man ruled the world completely uncontested
i think they've started building this one in serbia and if they finish it it will be the new tallest non tv tower building in the country. it should be around 160 meters
that's 174m high? and there's like ten of those?
that might just be the largest building complex volume-wise in the world then
That's a bottle. Why?
