Postmates / Food Delivery in LA

Alright Jow Forums, I did a bit of research but, I wasn't able to find enough. I was wondering which food delivery service is most popular for consumers in Los Angeles, CA? I was looking at some "data" and Postmates seems to be #1 in LA, but since I THINK I understand normies, I decided to look up the food delivery apps on the Apple AppStore and found that Postmates is beat by both GrubHub and DoorDash, do you know which is most profitable/popular? or best to use in LA? Looking for some friends, also tips and tricks if you know any. I'm asking because I'm planning on becoming an InstaCart Shopper over the Summer since I work as a TA and will be out of a job and I ain't trying to apply to shitty McDonald's. I already did eBay on the side and I'm planning on going back too.

i've never tried one of those types of gigs but from the impression I get, they all provide roughly the same service so they are essentially 'in arbitrage' and you have to install every app and drive for every service if you want to beat using any of them individually

I use Eat24 fairly often in dtla

How does it compare to any of the others if you've tried it?

I would imagine thar ubereats is #1

Ask Mr. Stake it till you break it himself

In LA postmates is the busiest but has the most difficult to compete orders and tons of no tips. Grub Hub has the best balance pay/volume and Caviar best pay/lowish volume. Doordash never done but heard it's same shit tier as postmates. You basically want to get on Grub Hub and Caviar run with them when it's busy and only when it's slow turn on Postmates/Doordash .

Alright, I feel that, I really like that feedback. Where do you do these food delivery services? Like I said I'm planning on working in Los Angeles, more specifically the Hollywood area, but I might consider other spots that are hot around me.

I did postmates in the Hollywood area for like 8 months. Don’t do it bro it sucks

Damn, like that? Postmates or food delivery in general? I mean I like that I know someone who does the instacart and it's really working out for them. And then grubhub paying $11 the hour regardless of whether or not you're getting orders sounds fucking great. But that's with an 85% acceptance rate for orders. Which I'm planning on doing.

long term isnt the additonal car repairs youll have to take on from all that driving more expensive then the money you make doing it? i ask because that seems to be the case with a lot of uber drivers

I drive what you guys would probably call a shit box lmao, I've got a 1988 Corolla SR5. It's pretty neat and it's already got 200k miles on it. I'm not too worried about repairs on the car as it'd only be a Summer gig and I'm pretty decent with cars. I know how to perform preventative maintenance. Most people who shit on their cars is cause they don't know how to take care of them.

have you considered investing in some knee pads?

you seem to have the skill set for the job. anyone incapable of doing basic preventative maintance and simple repairs on their own should reconsider driving their car as a job. especially if the car has expensive parts or is one of these modern difficult to repair cars.

Lmao I'm guessing I'm gonna be getting fucked? I know it probably isn't exactly lucrative but if done the right way I know I can probably make more money than at my actual job. I only make $800 per month, I lied I'm not an actual TA. I work after school for Beyond the Bell lmao and I only work 21-25hrs per week.

Get out if LA it's going to be a complete shitshow when the middle class is fully squeezed out

Thanks bro, cars are fun and they're a hobby I wanna get into. Nothing crazy like heavily modifying or making them unusable by slamming/cambering wheels. But it's dope and gratifying to know you can work on your own cars.

You do any of these ride-sharing / driving gigs?

i work in the undersea food delivery business, delivering soggy sandwiches to hungry fish people. i maintain my own submarine and its somehwat profitable.

Dead at least you're funny.
You're here because of crypto though, I'm guessing. How's your folio doing? I was up $2.5k and now I'm back at $300 bucks, I got in early last year and it sucks I got greedy and didn't pull out but I don't regret it.

Why would I tip some scrawny spic on a bike? Because he delivered a sandwich? That's his fucking job that he gets paid for.

Nobody tips me to do my fucking job.

lmao

look into ubereats also if you are going to do this

nope, heavy metals. i was in vibranium the moment i read a black panther movie was bring made. it peaked while the movie was in theaters and i sold to 50k profit. cashed out in wakanda, its a tax haven, but i had to live there for a few months of the year and i almost got caught wearing black face.

but yeah, crypto, and i did not pull out in time either. but im a noob so i;ll call what i lost practice money.
