I'm impressed by the team on this one and the throughput (2k TPS right now) seems great, what are the cons? Other than the terrible name?
Red Pill me on Zilliqa
The cons are that it is going to bankrupt everyone invested in the inferior tokens like Ethereum
The name is pretty cool.
Cons?
1. Unexpected vulnerabilities may occure
2. Smartcontract language is not turing complete (but it's needed to be so for a reason). Also it's "not a that big limitation" as Vitalik said.
3. The team isn't large enough but they are hiring carefully.
4. They need bluzelle or someone else for storages. But bluzelle looks safe because the other projects also choose it. Many other projects.
I can't think of any cons, desu user. Anyone else?
Solid list to which I'd add:
5. A competing project implements sharding and/or other scaling improvements and beats Zilliqa to mainnet.
Which will reach live implmentation of sharding first, ETH or Zilliqa?
Zil's transaction sharding is different from eth's state sharding.
Transaction sharding already works on zil testnet and eth doesn't plan to implement it afaik.
State sharding is plans of both eth and zil, don't know who'll be first.
If any team can implement State sharding successfully, it will be Zilliqa. That's where my money is.
PROS
Sharding
CONS
Indians
Another platform woohoo
Does ETH not need transaction sharding?
dead on arrival. EOS will eat every platform alive
Care to say why or are you just doing a drive by shill?
his lack of argumentation is typical of a shill, sad thing is he probably has less than 1k in eos
I’m a shill but have 500+ EOS
EOS is less than 2 months away from mainnet. It’s already extremely fast. Ziliqa will release in 1y which is too late. It will be beaten to the market even by Ethereum Casper and Cardano.
Also it’s PoW which is old school tech when everything is moving to PoS
>Ziliqa will release in 1y
September.
>it’s PoW which is old school tech when everything is moving to PoS
Bullshit. It's pbft with pow. And no, not everything is moving to pos and pos is pretty vulnerable.
Wait for Radix and buy asap.
Graph is wrong. Zil has been working on this for three years.
That will require eth to make fundamental design changes, which it can't do now.
This reminds me of the time Jow Forums was shilling xspec as a better monero. The truth is this is a winner-take-most market. EOS will take Zilliqa's share, doesn't matter if it's marginally better
Glad you know what's going on user; almost everyone believes that ETH and ZIL implement the same sharding. I wish ZIL used a different name to prevent confusion.
That being said, even if ZIL mainnet does horribly and only gets 10% of their advertised throughput, it'll be significantly better than almost all other platforms at the time.
Except Zilliqa is on Binance which is half the fucking battle. XSPEC is on fucking nowhere.
>EOS
Really nigga?
Holy shit, XSPEC.
Does that still exist?
Yeah, you can still dump your bags on cryptopia. Might as well write it off
