Reminder that Ouma is best boy.

He's already married.

Is anyone going to watch the 7s final today?
Proof

Screenshot of the new Paradox Rome game. Map looks really pretty compared to their previous games. Lot of buttons on the army suggesting tactics, stances and so on. And of course there is plenty of mana to be had.

>anyone going to watch the 7s final today
Nein, the hurling is on today.

Did Marty Morrissey just say "tough-ass hurler"?

This is art.

I'm not as torn as last Sunday lads. Supporting Thurles

That doesn't sound like something froggy would do.

>encouragement

Lot of wides in this match.

good stuff

Savage goal.

Imagine the padding yanks would need for this.

>"Fuck sake, c'mon!"
RTÉ need better sound insulation in the commentary box.

Limerick fast Tipp strong

This Limerick crowd are almost Dublin tier.

size of that Tipperary lad's legs btw fucking what.

>This weather

The fitness of GAA players has escalated massively in the past 10 years alone. Some of them are built like machines.

Rather impressed with Limerick. Don't know what's going on in the Tipperary half of the field and whether they are just backing off Limerick and affording them the space or whether Limerick are picking out their men well and giving nice passes, probably a bit of both.
Seems to be quite a bit of fouling as well and which is detracting from the whole thing a bit. Atmosphere got better as the half went on.

aye

Henry Shefflin is a great analyst. Solid addition to the panel.

He's no Ger Loughnane.

But who is really?

>these Limerick fans
Do they think they're at a soccer match or something?

Limerick sharp

...

Why so mad anyway, Shane me lad?

As a GAA noob and almost completely impartial. The pundits want Limerick to win. Tipps don't seem to get any love. That was a good goal and it's Limerick this Limerick that.
Am I imagining it?

fuck it maybe I am. Seems more is expected from Limerick or something

Tipp are one of the top 3 Hurling teams at the moment. They have won two All-Ireland titles in the past decade. They are expected to perform well in any match play, but often have problems with inconsistency which gives lower ranked teams the chance to cause an upset. Limerick are one such lower ranked team that have been in the doldrums for years. But they have been steadily improving over the past 3-4 years and big things are expected of them this year based on their League performance over the Winter season.

I'm pretty sure that the 7s is after the hurling
It will also be rather interesting to watch how Germany managed to get into the final or anywhere near it

Attached: Limerprofilbild.jpg (850x850, 164K)

I understand a little more now. thanks
dat goal tho

If you have any other questions throughout the championship season, be sure to ask.

Very magnanimous of you. Appreciated.

Very nice, it's shaping up to be a good summer for Limerick

Attached: 1498345048004.jpg (850x850, 210K)

Based on other GAA conversations I've seen on /éire/, most people here aren't life-long GAA fans but instead got into GAA in their teens and twenties. So we know what it's like to be starting out.

welp. I supported Maigh Eo last week, Tipperary this week. Good thing I'm not a betting man. God bless lads and vote no on the 25th

Tipp inconsistency strikes again. I wonder if they'll turn if around like last year?

Attached: 1502168402535.png (850x850, 553K)

Well deserved win for Limerick. Tipperary were dire and lucky to get the goals.
Panel said something like 7 scores from play was it? That's a dreadful return.

>and lucky to get the goals.
I wouldn't say they were lucky. Tipp have some dangerous goal-scorers and often rely on them to win games. The goals were well-executed. Everything else was not.

Looking forward to the match in Cork in two weeks time. Hopefully it'll be a nice Summer's day and a cracker.

First was good, second should've been defended better.

>phone posting

Who will win the Cork-Clare match?

Greatest metropolis in Ireland is victorious once again
All other Irish """""cities"""" should tremble in fear
Limerick pride worldwide

Based on last year, Cork, but I haven't seen the league.

I want it NOW!

Great post.

Have to say the Riko version is better than the S*tania one

You watching this? Ref has the most JUST hair of all time.

Aye, thought it looked a bit odd.

Limerick a shit

This is a really good game so far

Too bad about all them wides.

Most of the wides are down to pressure. Limerick and Tipp were missing easier chances.

Páirc Uí Chaoimh looks very empty

Someone spoonfeed me on hurling tactics, what are the main styles of play? I find it hard to differentiate teams compared to other sports

Attached: 1523536945386.png (540x643, 581K)

Said they were expecting 20,000 or so, similar to the other game.

Attached: 1503109970066.jpg (1908x1072, 192K)

That's because it's quite big. Still very full on the far side of the camera and down where Clare are defending. Side the camera is on is fairly full as well. Wouldn't be surprised if there's nearly 25,000 at it.

I'll feed you alright.

Two main styles of play are "traditional" or "sweeper"

Traditional is 6 back, 2 in midfield, 6 up top. Sweeper is 7-2-5. Sweeper systems usually have two lads in inside forward, as opposed to three. The sweeper plays between the full back line and the half back line. Waterford are the best team at playing the sweeper, Tipp and Kilkenny are very good at traditional style.

There are other systems obviously. Offaly played a double sweeper last year, while some teams will go 5-2-7 to counter the sweeper system. Galway did this against Waterford last year.

>"pitch is in great condition"
Not sure about that.

Isn't that man a well known idiot?

Clare ate playing somewhat defensively. They have a sweeper back and their midfielders are sitting a bit deep. O'Donnell is up front on his own a lot of the time. Cork seem to be going with an old fashioned system.

Clare are playing a lot more long balls, while Cork are looking for space. Cork are better at hitting long range points, so they don't have to work the ball in as close as Clare do.

Clare can't push up fully on puck outs because they don't have enough bodies up front. Nash is happy enough playing long or short balls out. Clare aren't as good in the air as Cork, so they have to be more careful with their long balls, and Clare don't have bodies up front to win knock downs, and need to catch it clean. Clare's fullback is very good in the air though, so Cork can't put high balls in on the edge of the square.

>sigh

Grow up. That one might be you, whoever you are, but the others aren't. Someone is samefagging on levels unheard of. Get a grip or I'll kill you.

>le howth le shitting it and le not want fight

Please, you faggots. You wouldn't last in my presence. I literally have no empathy (new age poppycock) and would stamp on your head vigorously. I would make that scene in American History X look like a party.

Better team won

Day out isn't complete without some chips.

Attached: 1496029820252.jpg (400x400, 30K)

Just chips or are you having something to go with them?

I wasn't anywhere so I'm not having anything desu. Was just saying.
What did you get up to last night?

>I wasn't anywhere so I'm not having anything desu
That sounds like disinformation.

Hosted some celebration so I was rather busy, you?

Attached: 1526562779722.jpg (2792x1989, 1.39M)

Probably an inside joke intended to make sense to one person only

Or a doxxing screen.

>doxxing screen
A what now?

>Hosted some celebration
Sounds nice, was it fun?
>you
CK2.

Attached: 1504363785875.jpg (2031x2939, 1.76M)

>CK2.
We going to play next week or not?
Would be good to know because if not I could make some other plans
>Sounds nice, was it fun?
I suppose so, entertaining everyone can be a hard task for a host desu so I'm a bit tired now but I'd still be up for some vidya tonight

Attached: 1526559397964.jpg (1375x1810, 373K)

>We going to play next week or not?
Probably, we played last night.
>Would be good to know because if not I could make some other plans
I'm pretty happy to commit to playing, but we'd have to ask the other two to agree as well, they may not be able to.
>entertaining everyone can be a hard task for a host desu
Did they all give you five star reviews for the event?
>I'd still be up for some vidya tonight
I won't be as I'll have to head to bed early, but maybe the others might want to play something.

Attached: 1524526433109.png (787x1136, 524K)

>Probably, we played last night.
I see, looking forward to it
>Did they all give you five star reviews for the event?
I hope so
>I won't be as I'll have to head to bed early
Is tomorrow not a holiday in Ireland?

>Is tomorrow not a holiday in Ireland?
Not that I'm aware of. What holiday is it for you?

Attached: 1507813505487.jpg (1800x2500, 2.38M)

Pentecost, what's the next Irish holiday?

Attached: Syndrome of a Down.jpg (850x850, 348K)

>what's the next Irish holiday
June Bank Holiday, I believe.

Baby Killing Day.

Sounds like a great holiday
Is it just an artificial day off or does it have a historic backstory?

Attached: Meat.jpg (850x850, 405K)

>Is it just an artificial day off or does it have a historic backstory?
No idea, may just be artificial.

It seems like prebuilts might be cheaper now than building yourself thanks to gpu prices from bitcoin miners. Who'd have thought it.

I've gotten like ten alerts on my phone from RTÉ today.
Really needs to stop, I don't care about whoever got shot or kidnapped in Dublin.
