If one of my shrimp hardforks into two shrimp is that a taxable event? Is the basis on the new shrimp zero or do I owe money immediately?

Your shrimp is not capital, your shrimp is trading stock, if he lives at stocktake his value is considered income, his cost itself is zero but obviously you will have expenses involved in your shrimp forking business

I literally unironically want to buy an above ground pool and farm shrimp. Why is it a bad idea?

not really. you wont make much money either tho

Ok guys no one else reply to this thread
I mean it

Lost it OP, thanks for the laff.

If you faggots keep posting about shrimp I'm going to hunt you down. I can't have a bunch of newfags coming into the shrimping Jow Forums crowding my turf.

I'm sorry dude. I didn't know my post from yesterday would do this. I already regret that post

Not enough jizz

If you wanna make money exploiting animals, do a chinchilla fur farm in your basement or garage. The things are hard to maintain, but with some experience and large numbers of them, you can make a crapload of money. Their pelts are worth $20-50 each, unprocessed, and they are literally just rodents.

You can do it as a hobby but it's not profitable as a business. If you still want to profit, start with cheap species to get a hang of it and then try to breed more expensive species. ROI still might not very good but might be some side money

i saw the shrimp thread yesterday and i laughed, OP.

Those hairy ass legs what the fuck!

It's not taxable until you trade the hardforked shrimp for $10. At that point you will owe capital gains tax on the shrimp, with a cost basis of zero

Shrimp is a good investment. Shrimp has never been worth zero.

After doing some chart analysis, I've realized shrimp us undervalued and is going to fucking moon soon.

If you guys need help setting up a shrimp freezer to store your shrimps let me know. just make sure you set a good password on your freezer or some one will anonymously transfer your shrimp to another freezer.

>reading articles about the profitability of indoor shrimp farming
God fucking dammit Jow Forums I love and hate you so much.

tl;dr Yes

If you are selling breeding grade level shrimp you have to claim them. You might not and think you can get away with it but you can be sure anyone purchasing these high class shrimp will be insuring them and paying taxes on any shrimp they breed from your stock. Eventually it will lead back to you.

Its not really about really about mass farming shrimp for consumption anyone can do that and larger competitors have the economy of scale factor on their side so you cant really break into that. Breeding rare "pet" shrimp is much more profitable.

I have an unused guest bathroom with a bathtub, is it possible to farm shrimps that way?

that reverse bart pattern

I would never let my shrimp outside any kind of shit could just blow in on the wind or birds could get in their or something. You also have to control the temperature of the water and keep it stable and its much easier in a climate controlled environment. Shrimp really don't like heavy fluctuations as they live in warm equatorial waters. You would also have a lot of algae problems if the water had direct natural sunlight.

why is she using 6" blind flanges when she could just buy a pvc cap women are fucking retarded. It would be cheaper to put a male adapter on the end of the pipe and then twist on a threaded cap if she actually needs to open those things on rather than unbolting a fucking flange.

No, a shrimp is not a capital asset

best comprehensive beginner's guide to shrimp breeding?

start with trying to keep guppies alive

shrimp have a much lower bioload than guppies so shrimps are easier to raise and breed

still have to learn about the nitrogen cycle. why learn that with expensive shrimp when feeder guppies are cheap

seamonkeys are the alt shrimp of the future

There arent enough autistic Asians where I live to make pure bred shrimp farming profitable. Do you guys know of its possible to ship shrimp safely?

Is there any money in shrimp shipping?

Reasons why SHRIMP loses to BTC:
>no hard cap on supply
>not divisible
>not durable
>centralized in Indonesia

Can btc survive an emp?

Shrimp can.

reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
