Why are brits so smug and self-superior? They for some reason have this idea in their heads that they’re somehow negotiating from a position of strength and that the EU needs themes than the UK needs the EU. They get very bitter and angry if you point this out and start desperately deflecting by spamming you with extremely angry and aggressive insults. Brexit benefits everyone involved, the EU no longer has those pesky Brits obstructing everything and the UK's politicians can no longer shift the blame onto Europe, meaning problems might actually be addressed by politicians in future elections.
In theory. In reality it's going to be a lot more messy and the EU will punish the UK to dissuade anyone else from leaving, while British politicians will continue to slander, spread misinformation, and find convenient boogiemen to avoid changing the profitable (for them) status quo.
