TTETT
korean, you can use it to read web mangas before they are translated. Also what do you use to learn new languages? Are there any apps (paid or {{{free}}}) that are worthwhile?
French or Spanish, all others are pointless
Since you're anglo, start with something easy like Spanish.
>learning a gook language
Learn French.
I was going to use Duolingo
I spend a bit of time in both Thailand and Korea so they're useful to me, at least to learn more than the basic tourist phrases
Kill yourself you disgusting gooklover.
Thai
Of those, I would choose French, but that's a crap list. French is a dying language; Spanish, Arabic or Chinese would be more useful, Chinese especially in Australia.
Chinese
Why would I want to learn Arabic?
Norweigan has good overlap with Swedish and Danish which is good for speaking with a chunk of Europe.
French isn't dying either?
I don't know if I'm disgusted or aroused by this picture
It's growing, but mostly among Africans, it's still worth it to learn it IMO, even if you just want to interact with Europeans and Quebecois (which you do)
More people can speak Arabic than Norwegian, so you can visit many more countries, including France, Germany and England. Likewise, Spanish is good for both north and south America. Most educated in Europe already have a decent grasp of English, so you can get by on that, so I think you should pick a language that would be the most useful in countries that don't have a good grasp of English, or at least a language that will help you speak with your largest immigrant group like Chinese.
French is mainly only spoken in France and as a secondary language in former French colonies in Africa. Even then, half of them speak Arabic as a primary language, so why learn a secondary language when you can learn a primary language?
French is the only one on that list that will have any utility, and (presuming you're a native English-speaker) the one which will pose the least amount of trouble.
In any event, whatever language you choose, get yourself a copy of Forever Fluent before you start some bullshit course and give up out of frustration.
>I want to learn another language since I haven't really achieved anything in the last 5 years
yeah you won't learn shit, sorry
>I don't know if I'm disgusted or aroused by this picture
Imagine she's pregnant.
Chinese for business (if youre interested)
German cuz it sounds awesome
Or arabic cuz the arab speaking population is very large and keep getting larger
>arabic
Is a useless lang since arabic dialects might be unintelligible depending on the speaker, and most """Arab""" countries are shit holes anyway.
Dutch are literally Anglo
Arabic is useless to learn, most course material is in Modern Standard Arabic which no one speaks. Arabic has so many dialects that are basically different languages. I know an American army guy, he was a Cryptological Linguist, army made him study Modern Standard Arabic for 10 hours everyday for 2 years, then they stationed him in Morocco, and he had no idea what the people were saying because Moroccan Arabic is completely different from Modern Standard Arabic. It is like learning Latin and then trying to communicate with people in Portugal.
