Supreme taste.

Don't know if you're into Korean cars, but since you're in Mexico, I'd recommend waiting a year. Kia is toying with manufacturing an AWD variant of the K3/Forte in Monterrey to go up against the Impreza and they'll be cheapest in Mexico. Monterrey is Kias newest factory and has an advanced rapid fabrication center, so they're going to be using it as a facility to test new low volume FWD concepts. They might start building an AWD Optima/K5 there come 2020 as well. The Korean brands have some absurd incentives going on in Mexico right now and sometimes push low ultra low interest rates around 3% (I understand that auto financing rates in Mexico are typically 20%-40% APR) since they control their own finance branch and really want to steal the market crowd in Mexico whom typically buy Japanese cars. You might be able to get a newly built AWD Forte as cheap as a used car soon.

I don't want a car. I own a license and have done for the best part of a decade, but driving just makes zero sense economically. Owning a car is just a huge waste of money.

It's just a shame that British public transport is so fucking atrocious. Wouldn't be surprised if Eastern Europe does a better job of it than we do.

Japan because their reliability means less headaches and less money wasted on repairs.

Shelby 350r, RX-7, MX-5, E30 M3, classic air cooled Porsche, Lexus LFA. those are my dream cars. Being realistic, my next car will probably be a GTI or something.
Germany, Japan and the US are all in the top for me.

Germany is not all that good at cars from my experience, yes they have Porsche for example, but from experience VW isnt reliable at all.
