Why don't Colombians care about us?
We even made a series about them (Narcos)

You don't even speak the same language, hijo de puta.
I have to say that Pablo's accent was fucking atrocious, BUT, after a couple of episodes you get used to it and it made me laugh a lot about how you could take one of the most feared drug kinpins of all time and make him into a caricature that screams 'MALPARIDO HIJUEPUTA' when anything goes wrong.
Obrigado for that comic relief.
Kek, the rest of the world didn't even give a fuck
We made you gain mainstream interest
Apparently he took a year worth of Spanish classes to figure out how to speak the language. I thought Portuguese was similar to Spanish?
It's funny how Colombians focused so much in his accent and ignored all of his acting and the rest of the series too lmaooo
I know, but it is kind of annoying for people to believe that nothing has changed since then. Did this happen to brazilians with Cidade de Deus?
It is, but that region of Colombia has a very special and easily distinguishable accent and way of words that Moura did not fully asimilate.
But as said, most of my countrymen hated the show because of it; I didn't care, I thought it was genius because it did feel like a different take on Pablo.
Aside from cocaine we don't care about them either. I'm sure most brazilians couldn't even point Colombia on a map. They are completely irrelevant outside of selling good cocaine.
I think Cidade de Deus definitely shaped how the world sees us, forever
If before we were the fun Carmen Miranda in the beach and Bossa Nova thing, that movie transformed us in what we are today in most people's view
And the fact that Narcos had a pretty big BR crew behind it
>WE
It's an american tv show, dude
What about that scene with his father? Was it cringe for you guys accent-wise?

It is similar but that doesn't mean that you can master an accent in it. The closest thing that I can make an analogy to you is English and Scots but I think even that is too close. It's a little bit more different.
>Netflix is Brazilian
>Mexican characters
>hire a bunch of cubans and chicanos to portray them
>Colombian characters
>hire a bunch of brazilians and mexicans to portray them
Why do gringos do this?
i also would like to be more approach of colombians, specially colombian girls.
A good 1/3 of actors were colombian though, easily the largest group in the casting. Americans and mexicans came close behind
Brazilians pronounce the letter r like an h, even Colombians don't sink to this level.
It's sad that a huge ass impenetrable jungle separates us
chi?
Yes
The Breaking Bad spanish accents really bothered me.
>we
Yeah, Netflix paid, Padilha and Moura did it
That isn't universal. American r's are disgusting. There are some people here with an accent where they do an american r when there are no vowels after it and they sound like hillbillies:
