I had no idea our spanish speaking neighbours had such differing accents.
Can they simply recognize each other as foreigns easily based on the accent?
>Can they simply recognize each other as foreigns easily based on the accent?
ye
this desu
best: Colombia
worst: Chile
Separate foreigners from locals, sure. Separate different foreigners between them, it depends. I can't tell uruguayans and argies apat, for example
Where did Chileans get their accent from? I think Argentina's is Italian, Colombia is from the South of Spain, etc.
The best one is puerto rican though
>implying I could tell them apart
>implying I give a shit
centuries of inbreeding
Aliens
I disagree, Puelto Lican accent triggers my autism
Best: Rioplatinese
Worst: Cuban
What's special about Rioplatense?
To me it sounds like an Italian person speaking Spanish which sounds pretty funny
Can't tell Central Americans apart (probably because I have never met one), but there are like 7 super distinguishable Latin American accents that at least give you an idea of where does a person come
Brazilians have a weird accent.
I was told by a Chicano that the Argie accent came from Spain
You have to be deaf to not notice the italian influence
Ehh, I don't hear it that much
Best: Cuba
Worst: Argentina
Mexican Spanish is what I would think how Native Americans speak English
Colombian accent is actually strongly influenced by the basque region. Especially in the way we use the RRRR.
es.quora.com
The Andalucian and Canarian accent is only a thing in the caribbean coast, the rest of the country was influenced more by Basque, Castillian and Aragonese accents. In fact at one point during colonial times 40% of the population wasborn in the basque country. We are the country with the largest basque diaspora in the western hemisphere
Lol wut?
>best
Los Estados Unidos de América
>worst
Los Estados Mexicanos
PACHAMAMA(pbuh)
Living next to Spain, I can tell you it's not really that similar
Cringe
You've ever heard a native american talk? The intonation sounds the same as Mexican Spanish
>ye
Fuck you.
hello
Yes. We have a lot of NA's around here. They speak very choppy , but they hum as they speak. It's strange, but nice to listen to someone speak like that. Almost poetic.
Best: Uruguay
Worst: Argentina
Favorite: Cuban
Worst: I'm not sure if I could classify asbad but I honestly have a hard time understanding Chileans, Peruvians and Mexicans
Impossible
There's like 10 different distinctive accents in Ecuador and Colombia alone
Uhh Mexicans aren't natives
it's galician + native from the north
Best: Paisa - I find Colombian, Peruvian and Ecuadorean (That region) the easiest for me to understand. I am B1 level with Spanish btw.
However I love the sound of Rioplatense.
Worst: Anything in the Caribbean
Literally the same thing
I forgot
t. Texas surrounded by Mexicans
That's a good point. What do Mexicans think about the Spanish that Americans speak? Not the disgusting high school level. I mean native
bilingual speakers born in the US
worst: shitlean
Best: Colombian
Worst: any island nigger country's spanish
Worst: Caribbeans and chilango(mex)

Replace Mexico with Ecuador.
Quien te conoce pa.
I actually can't tell accents apart, besides my own, chilean and mexican. All the others sounds exactly the same to me, sorry.
Pistolero y Malcriadito
Best: Spain
Worst: Everything else
In our case, we have similar accents to Costa rica, Venezuela and southern nicaragua. People from the caribbean coast talk similar to Venezuelans, Panamanians and maybe dominicans + slight hints of puerto rican and cuban. People from the very south speak kind similar to northern ecuadorians.
People from the southerncone, south Andes (Peru, bolivia) central america (except cr and Panama) and Mexico speak completely foreign to us. You could tell from a mile they're foreign by hearing their accent
Mierda, era fusilero
See:
>Buenashh compañeroshhh latinoamericanoshhh
colombians speak either like peruvians or puerto ricans imo
>Chilean low class slang
>Combined with immigrant brought..
>Haitian creole
>Venezuelan slang
>Others
Linguistically, this is going to get interesting
I kinda agree, sadly it is not in the pic, but cuban and peninsular accents are the most pleasant to my ear besides my own, of course cause I'm used to it
What does the Mexican accent sound like to other Latin Americans?
not really, peruvians have some mexican undertones which we entirely lack. Puerto ricans pronounce the L differently. The colombian caribbean accent is definitely closer to that of the Dominican Republic and Venezuela
here's an example of our accents:

Cubans speak waaaaaay too fast for me. Colombians speak very clear, almost patrician (at least for me) and Argies sound like they sing.
>t.seco fillo do ecuador
I've seen some really attractive Hispanic girls, but I CANNOT stand the Spanish language. I find it hard to even believe it's a European language. It doesn't matter what colour you are, if you speak Spanish, you sound like you come from a backward 3rd world dictatorship.
Thing is we all came from backward 3rd world dictatorships recently.
That is why Galician is the patrician language.
Anyway your post is dumb and your accent sucks eh.
Interesting vid
Pasto accent sound like southern Mexican indio
Jolinech el tio vivo a todo gach

The Salvadorians in LA never use it. Weird
Nicaragua uses it too
t. Wanderson Kleberson Da Silva Filho
Brazillian Portuguese is one ugly fucking language
Yeah people from Carchi and Imbabura speak like that
>Inb4 Dutch in Suriname and English in Guyana
How does it feel to be surrounded by Spanish? Can you survive speaking Portuguese in Uruguay?
