I don't see how that could be that big of an incovenience. And also, people with stained clothes (after work) are given an earful, and drunkards/junkies/other people under the influence are not let on the bus in the first place.

Yeah, they're pretty nice. We've had them since 2014 or thereabouts; had Czech TEDOMs before that.
The TEDOMs had slightly better heating and cooling, but were somewhat flimsy-feeling compared to the ones before them, so we switched to Solaris not long after that.

it'd need to be a very small town to lack buses. My city is less than 20K people, and there are lots of buses. When people talk about USA lacking public transportation, they are specifically referring to which speed rail and subways (which we also have, but not very much of it).

even here in san francisco buses only come hourly if not bihourly. The majority of bus routes only operate at 9am and 5pm for commuters.
