Now, I'm in Global Japanese Studies(department name) in the Meiji University.
It is international faculty so we have a lot of foreign students and all students and teachers do not have particular feelings about them.
I think it is really good for foreign people who want to enter the Japanese universities.
However, I'm not sure my department have classes about humanities.
In the department, you can learn a lot of Japanese culture from traditional one to recent one in both Japanese and English.
