Germanic GDP vs income

I'm always bothered by the fact that the Netherlands and Germany have very competetive economies but somehow our wealth doesn't compare to that of Scandinavia.
I mean realistically what does Denmark do better than us? Their people earn and own much more than ours, but it doesn't seem like their economy is much stronger.

Also once you start to factor in price levels it says we're even ahead of some of them, but this doesn't seem to be true at all when you look around you.

bump

Have you looked at the wealth oil is generating for them? Creates room for subsidies I'd imagine. I'd have to look into this myself to say anything insightful.

Oil is exclusive to Norway. Oil is realistically the only reason we're the richest of the Scandi countries, Norway's geography REALLY doesn't allow for the same agricultural infrastructure that Sweden+Denmark have.

I heard something about some Danish oil wealth a while back. It probably pales in comparison. How is the Norse oil doing anyway, is it a long term revenue stream? Or on its last legs.

You probably read about the Danes giving us all the oil fields when we were dividing the north sea amongst ourselves.

Does the average Dane know this?

>You will never be a Swiss citizen
why can't we all be like the swiss confederacy

Hardly an excuse. We export the most gas out of any EU country.

It's not that different really

Temporary fluctuation. Absolutely, totally irrelevant.

>oil production
>norway 1,647,975
>denmark 140,637
>netherlands 18,087

One of the factors is that the German and Dutch economic model is based on stable prices and stable wages, keeping inflation low and labor productivity high, so your wages usually grow slower than your GDP does.

we're literal serfs
is there a fate worse than being D*tch or G*rman?

>we're literal serfs
Nah, you just prefer stability over fairness, even if the owners keep a larger share of the profits, you are still wealthy, as long as you are not stuck in some shitty service industry job
>is there a fate worse than being D*tch or G*rman?
Being Italian and having to adapt to that model because of the Euro, but you have 75 years of high inflation on your back because your system was based on the exact opposite paradigm and you try to change it with a series of shock therapies that create the largest amount of people under the poverty line in Europe

they dont earn much more but they do spend much more, one of the reasons europe is struggling is germans are not spending their shekels they earn

Note the fact that czechs are germanic too
