Why did Argentina not attain industrialized powerful first world country status? It had all of the necessary ingredients.

Too many wh*Tes

Public expending + peronism + american intervensions (military juntas)

Face it, industrialization doesn't happen naturally. in 90% of cases it needed fascism to start somewhere, and we got fascism at that moment where the world suddenly started to hate the idea of fascism.

Because Argentina literally decided to keep an old shitty economic model from the XIX century. And of course Peronism: which was, and still is, the main reason why Argentina is a third world shithole.

By the way, Peronism reminds me a lot to the current MAGA movement here in the US. I really advice you to not follow the demagogue/populist path.

>in 90% of cases it needed fascism to start somewhere
Fascism didn't even exist when Britain, America, France, Germany, and the rest of the West started to industrialize. I have no idea what you're trying to say.

Peronism

Attached: peron3.jpg (1200x788, 295K)

unironically Peronism/socialism

All provinces of the Soviet Union only industrialized because of it you mouth breather. Pseudo-fascism like peronism was a uniquely Argie happening you historically illiterate ape.

because better countries don't want us to evolve

This. We got industrialized because of Vargas, a fascist.

What is Peronism and how did it ruin Argentina?

Look up this.

ISI (industrialización por substitución de importaciones)
Plan Pinedo
Primer Plan Quinquenal
Segundo Plan Quinquenal (which fucked up our economy for ever)

There you may find your answers.

I have some books that explain perfectly what is and what is not, all of them are in spanish, if you are interested give me an email and I'm sending them to you m8.

Viva Peron nuestro cabron
VIva Peron mi champion mi general sin genitales

What about juntas, la guerra sucia etc. Was that an equal or much less important factor?

google is your friend, try it

They try to force industrialization nowadays but it is not competitive and citizens die paying taxes to maintain the glorious argentine industry

Weird Argentine combination of fascism and “””””socialism”””””. Something similar happened in Brazil under Vargas.

we had a great industrial power during the 30's Decada Infame, the military government started the ISI program which basically substitutes importations with existing and new local industries.

This program gave the country a huge industrial capacity specially with the raw materials and food industry.

While the decada infame we had an economist called Pinedo who made an economic project called "Plan Pinedo" which goes further on protectionism and beter credits for the local industries but the oposition(UCR) didn't aproved it on the congress.

But Peron tried something similar on his first government but since he was literally an ape he didn't know a fucking thing about economics and he fucked it up.

Have any argentanons read this article? How accurate is it? One interesting point it makes that I don’t see often mentioned is land ownership. Whereas in America, settlers moved west and many individuals owned small plots of land, most farmland in Argentina was controlled by a few people, almost all of whom preferred to live in Buenos Aires.

Actually is laborism, Peron was not a socialist, he was an ultra nationalist, ultra catholic and anti communist, everything he made on the Secretary of Work on the military government of Farrel was to improve the quality of life of the workers, and destroy the communist agenda which at those days was pretty huge.

Literally none of the military dictatorships were staged by the Americans. The first 4 that we had were widely supported by the people. The last one the American government didn't knew about until a month before it took place, and even if they let it happen because it meant less commies, they had no say on the planning or execution.
You fell for the memes instead of picking up the books.

>The first 4 that we had were
I'm talking about 20th century if it isn't clear btw, the meme governments we had for most of the 19th century are pretty much irrelevant

>decada infame
not an american invervention
>revolucion de julio
not an american intervention
>derrocamiento de Peron
not an american intervention
>derrocamiento de Frondizi
not an american intervention
>derrocamiento de Illia
not an american intervention
>derrocamiento de Isabelita
an american intervention

Why is youtube full of videos about Peron and argentines glorifying him and little kids singing viva Peron. I mean isn't it obvious that he fucked up and the result is clearly visible

What ingredients might those be? Venezuela too was in a pretty good shape too in the 50s IIRC

our working class during the last years of the 30's decade was fucking terrible, he made some good things while being secreatry of Work during the military government of Farrel like aguinaldo, paid vacations, etc.

While on his first government he had a political and economic agenda based on higher wages, full employment and easy credits. Thanks of this our middle class compared to other countries of Latin America is so damn big and with a higher quality of life.

Unluckily on his second presidency all these ideas made us have an insane inflation, huge fiscal deficit and the wages stopped raising for 2 years.
Peron had the hope that after WW2 another huge war was about to happen but this never happened and the economy couldn't start by it's own.
On his second presidency we had the "segundo plan quinquenal" which is literally the same economic and politic agenda that is having Macri now at days, low inflation, low market actividy, high savings, low wave raisings, etc

>necessary ingredients.
Let's see:
>population: amerindians
>territory: 9/10 of the country consists on desertic and barren wastelands
>language: spanish, useless af
>geographical position: isolated in the asshole of the world bordering brazil, paraguay and the infamous people's republic of bolivia
>history: just a stop-by place for spaniards who's only interest in south america was race-mixing, murdering and taking minerals and natural resources back to spain
>ports: the irrelevant part of the atlantic ocean and icy cold southern ocean nobody navigates
>economics historically handled by retards
>logistics historically handled by retards
>amerindians
>either unbearably hot tropical weather or desertic weather
>latino shithole

In the late 19th/early 20th century Argentina was an economic powerhouse. The first global economy meant cheap agricultural products from the US, Argentina, Australia, Ukraine, etc 'invading' the Western European markets and outcompeting the local farmers (we call it the 'agricultural invasion' here). This was one of many different reasons why Western Europe abandonded free trade after the start of the 20th century. The countries exporting agricultural goods to Europe lost a lot of income from this but of course a place like the US had already industrialized extensively by that point. Argentina on the other hand...
The emergence of new tarriff barriers crippled the Argentinian export, this loss of income eliminated the possibilities of importing industrial goods. Argentine resorted to import substitution.

I can't find any good historical info on this (and I've already forgotten most of what I learned about this in some college courses). This is relevant though
