Texas, Christ.
Texas, Christ
What's going on in Texas to warrant that many executions?
Gangs?
Mexican drug cartel
Very cool
Based & Redpilled
>What's going on in Texas to warrant that many executions?
dumbfuck conservatives that think capital punishment is a good thing
Probs gangs
Texas is unironically liberal with capital punishment
Getting executed is more humane than spending life in an American prison
550 people died in this gurney since the 80s in Texas(Huntsville Unit). Very cool!
This unironically. I think if I ever got convicted of murder I might go for the death penalty and waive appeals. Prison here is basically just like a living coffin anyway
Sadly, yes.
A police state essentially.
Why do euros get so butthurt that we execute our murderers instead of patrolling them in five years?
for people that complain about government intervention so much, allowing the state to decide life and death is a little retarded
the brice of freedom :DDD
Governments have been using capital punishment for a long time. Plato recommended it, Thomas Aquinas recommended it. It's in no way immoral, it is necessary for a functional society.
The fact that violent street crimes are so common in America is in fact proof that we need more executions.
>allowing the state to decide life and death is a little retarded
Alfie Evans' family agrees
>The fact that violent street crimes are so common in America is in fact proof that we need more executions.
But they happen even in states with the death penalty. What we need is public executions.
Seconding.
>Reintroduction in 1976
This makes this so much worse. Boomers are sick in the head.
Just for that arrogance I will now support only politicians who are fans of capital punishment from now on.
>it's my opinion so it's a fact for everyone
Unironically - what's wrong with the death penalty?
I think the death penalty should exist in the form of the wicker man for the worst criminals.
Why not the boats, for a maritime country like yourselves?
But but this is different you cuck!
That wouldn't accomplish anything, really.
Violent criminals in prison are still dangerous. They join prison gangs and convert common thugs to become rapists and murderers. As draconian as it sounds, a massive wave of executions would decimate both street gangs and prison gangs.
Texas doesn't fuck around with murderers they even put in an express lane.

They have to deal with shit like this
I think it depends on the crime, cant go HAM on small shit but if theyre a repeat offender or does some heinous shit then yea its better to take them out of society rather than house them until they die on tax payers money.
The problem here is that people don't fear the consequences. People don't even fear the death penalty these days because they never get to see it happen to their fellow gangbanger. I want drug dealers to be forced to watch their supplier die bloodily. When the drug dealers are reminded that it could have been them under that blade, maybe they'll stop selling drugs.
>dumbfuck conservatives
Bitch, please. From November 2016:
>Oklahoma voters decided in favor an amendment that will add the death penalty to Oklahoma’s state constitution, giving lawmakers the power to try out any legal method of execution that isn’t banned by the U.S. Constitution
>In Nebraska, a repeal of the death penalty had a commanding lead as of early Wednesday, CBS affiliate KOLN/KGLN reports. In this case, a vote for “Repeal” means you want the death penalty. A vote for “Retain” means you want to do away with the death penalty.
>California voters reject measure to repeal death penalty
>California voters also approved a different plan to expedite the death penalty
California, the most liberal state in America, has its people supporting the death penalty just 1.5 years ago. Every state would probably legalize it too if its people got to directly vote on it.
>California is a paradise for libera-
Literally Reagan's state, SanFran is not California
Why do north-east states of America hate death penalty?
They're the whitest states in the country. Vermont, Maine... they're like 95% white.
It's states with lots of blacks (southeast) and Latinos (southwest) that need the death penalty.
Democrats
gangs and democratically elected judges
and their government doesnt restrict it, sounds nice
t. detroit resident, part of the first english speaking territory in history to abolish it (we did before we became a state)
hes not wrong you know
but nice trips, best digits
I heard there was talk in some states without the death penalty to have a so called Texas option.
Where they send them to Texas to get execute so they aren't actually part of the execution process.
its funny because texas wasnt always that happy to execute
>florida
Nice.
That's the thing, it should exist only for the worst criminals. But places like Texas have a difficult time defining "worst" criminals, and it sometime complicates things by not following their own set precedents, or executing innocent people.
The death penalty should be reserved for genocides, crimes against humanity, and cases that you would anxiously read on Wikipedia at 2 a.m. and get frustrated about the existence of such an individual. It should be a symbolic death.
Feels good being #2
They won't really solve much either. A lot of gangs operate and recruit people living in places that suffer from extreme poverty and other socio-economic issues. They'll just recruit more people there and continue on as usual. If you're really dead set on killing people to make the issue of gangs go away then nothing short of genocide for anyone living below the poverty line will do anything and good luck with that.
It wasn't "Boomers." The Supreme Court essentially struck down the death penalty in 1972, and then reversed their decision in 1976.
How did you guys reintroduce the death penalty?
Worked with the Native Americans.
technically the federal government can execute any american for treason, regardless of the state
executing traitors is a literal constitutional right
it just never happens because america is so great
Boomers are against death penalty. Also death penalty should be more used. Even in my socialist country, a majority of people want the reintroduction of the death penalty.
