>no more poverty, no more hunger, no more conflicts, no more homeless, no more violence, everyone is educated and can live a peaceful life, wealth and money is obsolete as all mankind became equal
will we ever live this life?

We'd be a lot closer if a certain country didn't throw the world into war twice in the last century.
fuck you earther scum, mars will remain independent forever
Not as long as Russians exist.
that would unironically be a really dystopian world
only if all semites disappear
We'd be a lot closer if a certain country didn't insist in encouraging armed conflicts and wars in a world that has grow up on these
Nope, and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to go back to their social """science""" classes and live in the dream world they pay thousands a year to fantasize about.
We are closer because of World War II. What are you talking about.
muh nation states
this isn't the 19th century niggerfags
>mfw conspiracy theorists tell me a secret sect of people is pushing for a liberal one world government but I'm fine with that
Oh look! I found another future barista!
How is your "hard" senior year US foreign policy class going in your bachelor of (lol) arts? Loser.
>unironically being a STEMfag in the current year
Enjoy unemployment
People who mock humanities bachelors usually:
a) Are recent undergrads
b) Never went to university
Not likely.
Even if you made money obsolete, resources will still be limited, whilst population growth and the ambitions of the species unlimited.
Also, without any FTL technologies (physically impossible), there is no communication between the different species and hence the chain of suspicion between them unbreakable.
The universe will sooner look like a Dark Forest than the utopian vision of Star Trek.
>no more poverty, no more hunger, no more conflicts, no more homeless, no more violence, everyone is educated and can live a peaceful life
>so let's go into space and meet the unknown horrors of the void
You know what angers me the most? We have the small minds of today fighting over the resources of this one planet where there is an infinite amount of planets out there. We are wasting those resources on infighting instead of preparing for whatever might be lurking in the darkness of space.
Why are people so stupid?
>infinite
cannot exist.
Entropy and the tyranny of distance, time and space will always limit our access to resources.
We will never be able to access the iron ores from the other side of the galaxy. We will remain in our little island accessible by our feeble sub lightspeed means and kill each other over them.
At near light speeds we can reach Alpha Centauri A and Alpha Centauri B in like 5 years. We don't need FTL we need to advance the human life span and/or cold sleep technologies.
That's funny cause I'm an ECE professor you dumb cunt.
Absolutely fucking not. We'll destroy ourselves with technology before we can reach that point.
I hope never. Fuck that dystopian slavery, individuality and freedom forever.
Also our ships can be created as fully functional ecosystems so a few generations can grow and live on the ship before it reaches it's destination where the grandchildren of the first people on board ill be the ones landing on the target planet.
Damn!
This thread fell faster than MH17
Do you ever experience any of that shit, you whiny ass pussy bitch ?
Maybe good for perhaps a few thousands of years.
But cosmic timescales are mind boggling and sooner or later, humanity would first fight each other and then starve to death. Also, not to forget the relativistic effects of traveling with high sub-lightspeed. By the time the colonists arrive at Alpha Centauri, Earth would have cannibalized itself after centuries of strive.
We have the resources of a whole solar system so i highly doubt that we will be done by the time they arrive and even if something happens to us humanity will live on trough the seed we send out in space. As you said we have no chance if we end up stranded here. We need to move to amongst the stars.
Yeah, humanity will survive. But not as some Star Trek esque interstellar empire, but as nomadic tribes of independent and vastly different people.
Solar system humans will have nothing in common with Alpha Centauri humans, or even Galactic Humans, if we ever get the tech to leave the cosmic neighborhood. The tyranny of time, distance and space, as well as the relativistic effects will prevent any sort of communication or exchange between each other.
I sure hope for some sort of curvature propulsion light speed engine, but then we would open another can of worms. I recomment reading "Killing Star" or "Dark Forest" for that matter.
You have a very negative and jaded view on things. It doesn't matter if those humans are different and it doesn't matter if communication takes 100 years per message. Life will be saved.
Time is not important, only life is important.
>Guys when will we ever have a utopia :'(
You will never get one
Well, I agree. Although it is far from the vision as presented by OP.
I would even think that Galactic Humans wont even look human at all, due to genetic engineering to make them more resistant against the interstellar environment. Maybe space humans will look like Mollusks.
Too much blue.
Needs more colours.
Red, Green and Purple are the minimum reqs.
