What is your crypto end game?

For me it is to buy a house in a good neighborhood in LA

Bro, I live in LA. Rent in LA, settle down in the valley

House and a woman with small feet.

Move to LA (I'm from Greece) by next summer and get my music career started.

Living around rich people is nice but it also means you are just another ugly neighbor. You aren't special. Women don't care about your lambo because everyone else is driving an exotic car.

do they not have soundcloud in greece?

Buy a house and turn it into a workshop to open my own business, in the countryside.
I don't want it to be big, just something that returns enough money to live from my passion.

three things to avoid that will save you millions in your lifetime

1. buying a house
2. going into college debt
3. getting married

>buying a house

But that saves money over renting in the long term.

Helping people.

Yeah, I can't believe how many times I see "don't buy a house".

Fucking retarded kids that know they can never afford a house say this I guess.

Bought my house 5 years ago and instead of losing $60,000 to rent, I've got $60,000 equity.

Renting makes absolutely fucking zero sense if you can afford to buy.

To have enough money to become a NEET so I can spend the rest of my life playing video games.

Why become buyers instead of renting? What happens to real estate mortgage tax? Do you like to rent or buy a Bitcoin? Why are houses different?

2 houses, one on the outskirts of the city and one innamountains, retirement by the age of 35, and enough money to find a beautiful woman to be my wife despite my autism/social ineptitude.

I wont even start crushing numbers for you. But mortgages are one the best and oldest business in the world, that's how banks make 95% of their money so it better sell the idea well.

Attached: tay.gif (500x250, 1.05M)

I wont start crushing numbers for you but you save an insane amount of money on taxes when you buy a house and have a mortgage vs. just renting.

You haven't learned about the break even point? Also right now I could argue better rent and wait for housing market to implode and buy up 3 homes instead 1 with your liquid cash

No you wont. You seem like a brainwashed individual and you have clearly not looked into the numbers

I already crunched the numbers.

My house has actually appreciated in value so I could sell my house right now and basically I've made $20k-40k for living in my own house for 5 years.

Don't be so fucking goofy.

Sara Jean Underwood

>My house has actually appreciated

said before thet actual sale price on the table, with sales fees. your local average price is not your house

12k€/year passive income & neet life

... I don't even know what to say...

fucking hopeless kid.

Originally it was to finish my military contract with $100k so I could start a business afterwards and not have to borrow money.

I have 4 years left and already reached my goal. Crypto grew way quicker than I anticipated lol.

Just kinda riding it out now, I don't really need the money and live just fine on my regular wage.

20 years old with ~100k, just a year ago I thought 5k was alot. Kinda surreal.

I'll probably buy a new mustang when I reach 250k, and upgrade to a BMW at 400k.

Ofcourse you dont now what to say because you have no experience of what you are talking about

I swear I've seen this exact message before, with the exact annoying reddit spacing...

Enough to pay off my student loans

I guess math isn't your strong point eh bud?

When you rent you can be 100% sure you'll never see a cent you pay ever again.
Owning gets you at least a percentage back, and if you own a multifamily you are having a rentcuck (you) basically pay your mortgage.
All for a bit more 'freedom'

Good neighborhood in LA? Better have 7 figs minimum.

Once I make £1.5M I’m cashing out 500k to pay off my mortgage and then renting that out and buying a nicer more private house where I can work on cars and enjoy my free time (I’ll be quitting my job if I get to 1.5m)

Rent a nice flat in central London overlooking the city and continue not leaving the house. Forever.

Renting has the potential to be much better in the sense that you still have majority usable capital. I can use my available money on other investments, rather than paying a mortgage and other expenses.

Your potential returns are also much higher than on property, especially if you aren't a rich fag already. It's retarded to put in 80% of your entire capital into one thing. Housing prices are up 14% on average in the UK in the past 10 years. Unless you're investing in a very desirable area or up and coming area, it's just not worth the minimal returns over such a long period of time.

£350,000 @ the average 4.5% interest rate over 25 years you are adding an extra £233,000 on top of your purchase price. Then you have legal fees, stamp duty, estate agent fees, maintenance, bills, council tax. So can you tell me how exactly is this a good deal? I can rent an all inclusive flat/room in London for 6-12k a year, leaving most of my money invested. Over 25 years I have the potential to be a millionaire and you can be a proud owner of something that you paid double it's original price for.

yeah and your money can also fucking evaporate.
buying a house(in a not ridiculously overpriced market) ensures your money wont be fucking gone tomorrow because the chinks decide to say fuck your shit and pull their money out.

For me it's having enough money as a start capital to start my own business.

I'm a huge workaholic and I work 14 hours a day since I genuinely love what I do. But I feel like I am only giving profit to the company that I could have invested into something of my own instead.

I am kinda disgusted with the "I want to stop working" posts ITT though. I hope you are just teenagers that haven't found out about the real life.

I only need like 5 mil USD to make this happen. Net worth right now is $200k.

oxymoron

Kek

To each their own I guess. I like renting and the freedom that comes with it.

>chinks
Ever heard of diversification? Crypto is not the only thing that you can invest in. Invest in some raw materials, precious metals, stocks, etc. and you are guaranteed to make more money than you would with a single property.

Hopefully get enough money so that I can escape this hellhole and move to the US.

I agree with you, but the massive thing about buying a house is that you don't pay tax on the income you effectively pay to yourself. It's a huge tax saving if you're in the 40pc tax bracket.

It's a subtle problem tho renting vs housing, depends on many variables. Right now, I think the returns on the stock market are better than rental yields. But if you're earning more than your ISA can take, go for buying a house.

>just a reminder you are on a board of weebos and neet

They havn't find value of life itself yet! But I agree with you, except for the 14h a day. I have 2 kids and I want to see them grow

you're gonna make it user

Nice catch.

you are playing the game wrong nigger, if you got money, you buy yourself political position and rent seek, thats smart money

>don't pay tax on the income you effectively pay to yourself
Must work differently in the US, because the mortgage interest rates are not deductible in the UK for personal use, only if it's an investment property. Unless you mean something else.

>40% tax bracket
>418,401 or more
I forget that the US cucks their investors with retarded taxations. The UK is 10-20% capital gains tax on whatever you cash out over the allowance. So there is no benefit of doing tax rebates even if I could, because I could just cash out the minimum necessary amount.

>thinking African niggers want jobs
user, I...

honestly, nothing in comparison to some here (huge house, fuck prostitutes every night, drive lambo). i just want to study different things i find interesting until i get tired of learning, then settle down and work halftime for some job i find fun though i know i won't have to work another day of my life.

I think the difference for me is I'm in the position where I don't get a choice. I have to work those 14 hours a day on something I don't enjoy doing. If I were independently financially independent then I would have the freedom of choice on what I wanted to work on.

Admirable goal, user. Are you going to invest in local education and infrastructure too? You could do a lot of good with that money.

Attached: 1517708231417.jpg (500x406, 45K)

Idiot. The interest payments are far less than rent payments.

I will become a part of the DBC network. The electricity in my body will be harvested for AI self-learning

I know you can get your shit started online in this day and age, and I have been/will continue to do that, but nothing beats connecting with people in real life

I want to have enough money to only work when I'd like to, buy a few nice small things per year (nothing frivolous over 1k), and travel when I'd like to.
I also want to be rich enough to take a big crap on every one of those hicks from my high school at the reunion in 7 years.

buy a house cash down in Atlanta

Have ~$40k in crypto atm.
I earn enough so I can put in $2500 monthly. Planning on doing this for the next 3 years. Hoping to reach >$1million so I can buy a nice house and car and stay debt free.

End game: Gonna do this til day I die. Invest invest invest. More money more money more money. I dont undertand why you guys want to quit. This is legitly the best profession in the world.

Quit my job, upgrade to a larger home, and be able to create my own schedule. Already doing the whole FIRE thing, but crypto could speed up my timeline from 30 years to 3.

I calculated that I need 6 million dollars to literally call it a life. 4 million in equities for about 160k per year withdrawal, 1 million for taxes with whatever is left to put towards a new home, plus 1 million left in crypto.

That leaves me with enough money to provide my family with everything they could ever want without having to kill myself working 60 hours per week like I do now.

I probably have 50 years left, I plan to spend them trying to get humanity rid of governments and bankers

biz.

I'm not black but I plan to invest in Africa in the future, the upside is just massive, when blockchain start giving legal security to investments there I plan to buy a lot of real estate in major african cities.

just to make enough to go visit my long distance partner. Plane tickets are fucking expensive.

Maybe if I'm lucky get enough money to bring them over here and start a family.

I don’t mean to sound like an asshole, but you clearly don’t understand the time value of money. The real question you should be asking is:
> could I have made more money by investing in other assets (i.e. stocks) while paying rent?
Also, it’s very risky to put a large percentage of your net worth in a single asset. Renting can make a lot of sense EVEN if you can afford to buy.

I want to make it so I can try & get a girl who left me back.
