I can only speak for the Dominican Republic as I’ve only been there. It really isn’t. Their infastructure is still pretty bad. Last time I was in Santo Domingo the electricity went out multiple times a day which left me soaking in sweat and getting swarmed by mosquitos. Sometimes the water would be unavailable too, which leaves you in the heat without the option of taking a bath. The average person can be pretty laid back, but it’s pretty dangerous if you take a wrong turn. Fucking hooligans on their scooters were stealing purses and getting into fights when I was there. If you have money you can have a good time though. My spanish is pretty good and I actually have a decent accent from the time I spent there. That along with the fact I make good money in the US let me have a pretty good time there. If you plan on working there, I would advise against it.

If you’re you and Dutch you should always go to Curacao. It’s totally insane. Cocaine is €5 and there’s always a massive population of Dutch students doing ‘internship’ which is 90% going to the beach and partying

I actually only ran into Europeans there. Mostly Brits with a few Germans tossed in there. I also actually knew some people there so I spent a lot of the time outside of the resort area. There were some really nice beaches outside of the resorts.

yeah, even the most exclusive islands still have a bit of a nigger issue at night in the shadows, but in general, you don't have to worry... especially in Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, etc. St. Barts and Bermuda and the Virgin Islands are safe, too.
I mean, Natalie Holloway getting killed in Aruba was huge news in the US at least, I think a Belgian ended up being convicted, maybe he was Dutch.

Natalee’s killer is in Peruvian prison now for killing another girl. It is probably the biggest case of the early 2000s over here because it happened on what we believe is dutch soil while the Aruban justice system had to prosecute him. And his father was a judge or something so for some reason they just didnt even try convicting him

Like I said I didn’t soend much time at a resort so obviously I wasn’t going to see many non Dominicans. Besides the place I did go was a recommendation from one of the guys there and it was mostly hispanics from what I could tell. Maybe some were American, but I couldn’t tell since they were all speaking spanish.

You're contradicting yourself. In your other post you mentioned that all you saw was non-europeans outside of the resorts and now you say of course you weren't going to see non-europeans outside of a resort? Well, europeans tend not to leave the resorts there, unless things have miraculously gotten better in the past 5 years. I remember the country being absolutely African, but I suppose it still is better than Haiti. I dunno why you'd want to venture around the DR but whatever, I'm a racist.
