What classes does your high school offer in the last two years
We have shitton of options to choose but some bad high schools dont have all of these options.

you don't chose anything. the subjects and their programs are fixed by the State according to the kind of school

That sucks if you go to a school you don't like.

school sucks in general, if you really don't like it you can always change the kind of school however

>i didn't do the last two years of highschool cause i took an equivalency test

Are the schools devided into scientific/economic/ language and arts...?
They gave you ap credits without taking classes?

if you want to get a score to go to uni theres pretty generic subjects you can pick in the last 2 years. And its pretty good because only the last year counts to your score and in the last term they try not to change your marks so if you don't bomb it it means nothings.
And if you don't want to go to uni/are dumb there are insanely easy subjects which give you certificates

Pretty much what the Italian said. My high school didn't really give any wiggle room.
FYI my middle school had a thing where you picked a subject and got put into a class with others that picked it, where you'd learn things more intensively than the others.
Say, if you picked IT, you'd have 3 more classes of it each week.

I ended up having to go to college for a whole extra semester because the fucking AP Chinese test was too hard. Stupid chinks and their stupid language

Here they look at the 3 thing.
The sat placement exam
Your average for all 4 years in high school
Your grades in those ap classes that I posted in op. Most schools will transfer these classes to college credit if you get more than 4/5. Tho ivy leagues can be bitches.
Atleast you weren't like me. I didn't take 1 single ap clads because i was a huge lazy bum.

>For historical reasons, there are three types of Scuola secondaria di secondo grado, subsequently divided into further specialization. Currently all of the secondary schools in Italy have most of the structure and subjects in common for the first two years (Primo biennio)(such as Italian grammar, history and mathematics),[7] in the last three years(Secondo biennio e quinto anno, or triennio) most subjects are peculiar to a particular type of course (i.e. ancient Greek in the Liceo Classico, business economics in the Istituto tecnico economico or scenography in the Liceo Artistico) but subjects like Italian, English and mathematics are still taught.:

Liceo (lyceum), the education received in a Liceo is mostly theoretical, with a specialization in a specific field of studies (humanities, science, or art).[8]
Istituto tecnico (technical institute), the education given in an Istituto tecnico offers both a wide theoretical education and a specialization in a specific field of studies (e.g.: economy, humanities, administration, law, technology, tourism), often integrated with a three/six months internship in a company, association or university, during the fifth and last year of study.[9]
Istituto professionale (professional institute), this type of school offers a form of secondary education oriented towards practical subjects (engineering, agriculture, gastronomy, technical assistance, handicrafts), and enables the students to start searching for a job as soon as they have completed their studies, sometimes sooner, as some schools offer a diploma after three years instead of five, although it is considered a lower level of school compared to the others.
Any type of secondary school that lasts 5 years grants access to the final exam, called esame di maturità or esame di stato; this exam takes place every year between June and July and grants access to university.[10]

Well it varies by state but I made a whole list for ya. The only subject that is compulsory is English, you can choose up to 4 others to do in year 12 (5 total) but you can choose do more subjects in the couple of years leading up to year 12. The subjects you can choose are completely dependent on the subjects your teachers are qualified to teach/the subjects the school wants to run.

nah i took the california equivalency test and left like a year early, and i did nothing in 11th grade

>take all drama/creative subjects
>get top percentile because actually try where others just do it because dropkicks
>can now get in to any course

if only I had done that... oh well, got a Uni degree thats worthless, and now doing a VET course for fun

yeah I've heard that grades right at the start matter a ton. No wonder Americans are constantly on their kids backs and highschool seems so much more stressful. Fuck having your marks as a 14 year old matter.
In my state its even more relaxed because the final test you do is generic and doesn't directly matter its just to rank your class up agaisnt others. And the prerequisites are English and then maybe a higher level maths or the right science to get into a STEM degree but lower levels unis often don't even have that.

there are 2 types of high schools

one is called gymnasium where you exit after 4 years without a trade, but with good chance of getting accepted into Uni
mandatory courses for 4 years
>math
>literature and grammar
>2 foreign languages, you will be having a final exam from one of them (i learned english and french, i went with english)
>history
>physics
>gym
>comp sci

2 years mandatory
>geography
>chemistry
>music

you can specialize in any of those as much as you like, the final exam subjects are
>math
>history
>literature and grammar
>one foreign language
>one chosen (geo/physics/chem/comp sci)

the other type of high school is specialized, you get a high school degree but you also get a trade qualification, the subjects are relatively easier and less detailed for these but (cooks, mechanics, carpenters and alike go to this type fo schools) it was looked down because you wont be making a living with a trade once you exit school, which is slowly changing and ofcourse you can just wave goodbye to this shithole and earn good money anywhere in the west with your trade

I should say, the ones with (VCE VET) next to them don't count towards the score at the end of the year, they are more practical subjects people do to get a certificate aimed at getting work in certain industries. But you can still do them during year 12, usually once a week after school hours.

Yeah same here too. The classes I posted are the nationalized ones tho. Other classes in genral are designed by the school or the state department of education.
So you did 4 years in college?
It doesn't matteer thaaaat much but you sure shouldn't fuck it up and get D's.

honestly unless you want to be a doctor or something it doesn't really matter. I got an op 9 t and went into an op 16 course which I'm a few weeks from failing the fuck out of and ruining my marks forever because i can't get any motivation to do IT.

We had lots of classes that gave college credits but I only did one because I was lazy. Really wish I would have just took as many as possible then I could have gotten my associates upon graduating or with just a few classes in college.

Wait so in american education system you can just drop world history or chemistry and choose for example music theory?

Here everything is fixed except 3rd language, you must choose between German and French.

OP's image is a list of exams you can take that, if you pass them, most colleges will accept as equivalent to one semester. Most schools for example require one year of biology, one year of chemistry, one year of physics, but taking it at college-level is totally optional

Courses available in College here (seperated year 11/12).

No required classes, just pick/choose any of them to fill up your course load.

No. These are advanced classes that you take later. There are still some genral minimum requirements like:
You have to take math at least for 3 years
History for 3 years
English for 4 years
1 bio course 1 physics and 1 chem class
1 economic class
And..
But ofc most students take much more than the min. You also can take normal easy ass or advanced classes with national examns

Not taking ap physics was a huge mistake as high school teachers actually spoke the English language unlike my shitty chink and poo TAs in college.

Science, commerce and arts.

In science, Phy Chem and math is mandatory. Option is fourth subject. Computer or ectronics or bio or stats or something. And of course, two languages.

Commerce,
You can mix and select any 4 between accounts, business studies, econ, history, statistics etc.

Arts, idk. Idc.

Daily reminder that we have the best education system in the world

You also have the best countryside

Too bad for the shit economy I guess
