I think that it is OK to learn kanji later
And most of foreigners can read and write a great deal of Japanese text by memorizing some kanji, such as 私 I , 今日 today, 駅 station etc.

Wo - marks the main object, pretty much like ''et'' in Hebrew
Wa - marks the main subject
Ga - depends on the situation, but more or less marks relations between words that aren't the main subject and object
Examples: Quotes or clauses
私はあなたがバカだと思います

Protip: Kanji really makes everything easier, it allows you to read so many words you wouldn't be able to understand by hearing.
Example: I always forget how to say the word for ''between'', but it uses the same kanji as amount, 間, so writing it is easy
