Another overview.

One of the main city gates.
The wall is still pretty much intact today.

The only part of the city that got really damaged in WW2 happened to be the central square, meaning there’s a concrete 60s tumor right in the middle of a nice old centre

One of the smaller gates, the tiny shack right of the tower has the best bar of the city "in it" (literally no tables, get you beer and go outside) today.

They are still there. I think no bomb the allies had at that time could destroy these. There are like 4 of them in the city.

One of the cities squares, not much survived there.

Yes, they did. Here's the area in google maps, cause I didn't find any proper pics:

The building with the two towers is the townhall btw.

Siberian colony which was built for fur collection from natives. Rate. The city is quite old, it was built in 1632, the photo is from the beginning of the XX century

Main station, good thing it was not hit as bad as this and could be saved. Just the roof is more simplified.

Nürnberg could have been the most beautiful city of the world, more than Frankfurt for sure. I wish they'd rebuild all of it.

redevelopment in the 1960s destroyed just about every building seen here

Attached: duluth 1909.jpg (3500x2934, 1.51M)

Could have, yeah. But rebuilding everything would have been to expensive and would have taken too long. Remember that millions in the Reich were homeless. The years after the war my grandparents had to share their 3 room flat that more or less survived the war (had a bomb hit right in the living room but it did not explode) with 2 other families... people were just happy when they had a roof above their head.

My town used to be the transit hub of the northwest until The world's Fair of 1974 was hosted here. They tore the entire train station down because it was deemed too ugly for the world's fair and we lacked a fairgrounds for such an event

Attached: expo74 construction.jpg (512x288, 48K)

We kept the clocktower but everything else was turned into a park. It is the smallest city to have ever hosted a world's fair

Used to be a comfy place.

At least you had a world war. Rotterdam could have had the world expo of 2025, but the government doesn't support it because they think it's nonsense. but I don't agree with them.

W-why are there burned people on the street?

My cities downtown in the 20s or 30s
