Ese is a chicano word, it isn't used in Mexico.
Mexican-Mexican slangs for dude are "wey" or "vato", never "ese".
And che doesn't mean "dude" in any context.

Nope. It's just a very informal way to say "guy". So while not offensive, you wouldn't call your boss "vato" or "wey" unless you are friends.
