I guess life is quite similar to alaska's. Main income comes from fishing, tourism. Despite that salaries are quite high, prices on everything are high af too. Prices on property are the same as in St. Peterburg, vegetables, meat, diary and fruits cost about x1.5-2 more then here. But still it's fun to live there, so much great things to do and see, i really recommend anyone to visit this place atleast once.

I lived there for a while, there is nothing worth romanticizing there. Atrocious roads, horrible landscape, polluted air, too many (600k) people... the shore is probably the only good part and even then non-polluted ones around Nakhodka to the southeast are way better.
