Contributes absolutely nothing to the economy while taking the most gibs by far, yet always complains about how the feds have the nerve to steal their money and taxes are too high while completely ignoring the only reason state and local taxes are so low there is because pretty much everything is paid for by the federal government. They also of course, despite gerrymandering and other shady political shit (when a democrat won the position of governor of North Carolina, the legislature held a secret meeting and voted to strip all power from the Executive branch and just make it an honorary role, this kind of thing is normal there) they whine about how the feds don't listen to them and the feds are oppressing them so they're not gonna follow federal law because the feds are being big crybabys and specifically targeting us hardworking south-easterners for a reason no one seems to know. The moment anything doesn't go their way they immediately talk about succession or getting rid of the supreme court (i'm being completely serious here). They're also single handedly responsible for starting our race to the bottom mentality (as if having the shittiest worker rights is something to be proud about) and are the sole reason why African-Americans are in the position they're in today. (Fun fact, you know the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which arguably kickstarted the civil rights movement? They didn't want integration, they just wanted the back of the bus to themselves. The policy was not only that they had to be in the back, but they wouldn't be allowed to sit period if all of the seats in the white section were taken. Of course, Southerners being Southerners chimped out at the idea that blacks actually get their own space even if it inconveniences whites, which is how all this shit got started. Blacks were doing fine in the north for decades.)

Also worth noting, I have no problem with other red areas, like the Great Plains, Texas, Appalachia, etc. It's exclusively the Southeast for all the shit they pull. The only reason I even stopped there was because of the character limit.
