2. I don't. A lot of people don't like the current Egyptian flag because it doesn't have a single reference to Egypt. The black, white and red stripes are Pan-arabic(used to mean something else until all the other arabic countries copied them) and the eagle cuckstamp is the Hawk of Qureish which comes from the Arabian peninsula. I would rather have pic related, the older flag of Egypt when it was a kingdom, than the current one.

It isn't. It comes from the Mamluk Sultanate of Cairo which is older than the ottomans.

The three stars represent Judaism, Christianity and Islam. They may also represent the 3 dominions of the Kingdom of Egypt - Lower Egypt, The Sa'id and The Sudan(ex-dominion).

The green colour represents agriculture.

Malta
No, I hate the cuckstamp. Nothing against the British or the George cross, but it is a foreign symbol on my flag and I want it off. I don't care that
the flag is plain without it, it's a old, historical flag used by my ancestors to represent them and there's even a legend surrounding its origins.
