Book is very good. Jo Nesbo knows how to write.
This is true. 95% of the movies that come from here(They're all Swedish and Danish), are murder mystery. They're usually really good though. Much better than hollywood garbage. They often have some realism that burger films lack. I really like the Scandinavian movie industry.
Watch Headhunters instead, it's much better. Based on a book from the same author.
This one was bad
this is the best swedish movie
Murder mysteries are boring
Definitely one of the best. Good taste dude
pseudo-intellectual shit
any hollywood action themes would be incomprehensible here.
everyone denies the existence of guns and drugs right up until their neighbor gets shot or OD's.
also this
It's up there, for sure.
not really
I liled this one, it was pretty interesting for a shaky camera "found footage" movie
Those are the ones they export
You could ask why is every movie out of south korea is a crime thriller
Looks like a Hut Tub Time Machine ripoff
>You could ask why is every movie out of south korea is a crime thriller
Or why every movie from Hong Kong is a martial arts thriller, every movie from India is a dance musical melodrama.
What are some good scandinavian crime movies/books to binge on? I recently thought i need a hobby like that and need a spoonfed boost to get me started
I really like The Owl Always Hunts at Night & I'm Travelling Alone from Samuel Bjork.
Because everyone here is obsessed with reading generic and awful murder mystery books.
They get into movies and get exported to you (the books would too I guess, but you don't read books).
Why? Guess we just like bleak shit.
T. watches only mainstream Hollywood movies
redpill me on these movies scandis
google says they're the epitome of scandikino
>10/19 are Norwegian movies
Denmark and Sweden BTFO
(they're all shit btw)
>be from Småland, same place as the emigrants
>move to Cuckholm
>they all quote this movie or Emil in Lönneberga whenever I talk
>mfw
It's funny that Cuckholmers don't realize they have the gayest dialect in the whole country. Good taste though.
>who is Ingemar Bergman
But on that list, Hunger is the best. It's a scandi collaboration (like most movies from scandi countries - we often swatch actors and so on)
This is my favorite Scandinavian movie.
Here's the patrician's guide to Scandinavian Kino:
Idoterne, and the Riget tv series (von Trier)
the Pusher trilogy (Winding Refn)
Festen, Jagten (Vinterberg)
Svält/Sult (Carlsen)
Pelle Erövraren (August)
Everything Bergman has ever done
Picassos äventyr (Danielsson)
Den Enfaldige Mördaren (Alfredsson)
Ondskan (Håfström)
Start with those, I should make a more comprehensive list on /tv/. I don't know too much about Norway though, they have no culture except for Hamsun and Ibsen.
>Why is every movie out of Scandinavia a murder mystery?
you prefer watching the cuckold porn that hollywood puts out?
or is watching of that state mandated
troll hunter is cool if you're into a different kind of found footage
dead snow is just horror comedy, it gets pretty stupid
all the stuff about hamsun is pretty solid too
no idea about the rest
no surprise that movie was made by a swede
