Countries that use the Euro

Countries that use the Euro

Do you like the Euro?

Do you miss your old currency?

Do you ever miss not having national symbols on your money?

Do you think you travel across borders more because of the Euro?

Do you think the Euro design is nice?

>Do you miss your old currency?
Most countries joined the Euro in early 2000. Most people answering yes have probably only bought some candy once with their old currency

Juncker will go on future Euros as the man who federalized the EU.

It’s literally all I’ve ever done with the gulden and I am easily above average Jow Forums age

>Do you like the Euro?
Yes
>Do you miss your old currency?
Not really. The coins were rather unique, but the notes were shit.
>Do you ever miss not having national symbols on your money?
The harp was already on the back of our old coins. Other than that, we didn't have much in the way of national symbols on our old currency. Mainly animals on the coins and dead people on the notes.
>Do you think you travel across borders more because of the Euro?
No because Ireland is an island. But it is nice being able to use the same money elsewhere in Europe and having a better awareness if you're being price-gouged.
>Do you think the Euro design is nice?
Yes.

yes
not really

As expected from a Greek.

>Most countries joined the Euro in early 2000
The actual physical currency didn't come into circulation until 2002.

I bought a gameboy with old currency

it's okay

Gulden had a nice design, but overal it was always tied to the Deutsche Mark so in that regard little changed

Soon

I meant early 2000s. I mean I was young when it happened and I am 23 now which I am certain is older than most people here.
Everyone ‘missing’ their old currency can only be bullcrap since it would mean suddenly everyone is 30 on here

Germany is wealthy and powerful mostly because of the Euro, so ofc I approve of it.

I'm 28

>I am 23
>older than most people here
Yeah, nah m8.

The average countryballer here that larps as the embodiment of their nation is certainly not older than 18. Let alone people that use “””” and wh*to*d like typing.

>23
>older than most people here
user, I....

I have no problem with the design of the Euro, I think it's pretty nice. It's the concept I have a problem with.

>I am 23 and I'm the older here
Ah, that juvenile cockiness
I'm 38

>I am 23 now which I am certain is older than most people here.
You are but a babby.

Euros have national symbols in them depending on the origin country. Every been off of your wretched island?

>Do you ever miss not having national symbols on your money?

you're aware that, especially the coins, come in a lot of variations and every eu country has their own. right?

Yeah I remember the collection boxes when the Euro launched to get each nations coin but having one side of a coin as a national token isn't the same as having proper currency designed to represent a nation.

We do, on coins

7/10

The euro was a retarded idea, that harms everyone taking part in it (including Germany).
That should not be a surprise, after all a socialist French had the idea.

Of course not since Euro is not a National currency but a multinational currency that is tied to all EU economies.

When traveling in Europe I hate the Euro because it seems so soulless gong to different countries using the same currency. Its neat using a złoty or Koruna rather than the same universal shit.

It's just so nice to cross the border and not have to change in a different currency and to just look at the prices and immediately know if something is expensive or not

I know, that's why I asked if you missed having your own national currencies that represent your countries history, culture and people via it's visual design. Like in the UK we're getting new notes and it's fun to see the new look and design.

Nah, you're probably bellow average even if you exclude the people who are above 30.

This is a very American post.

could literally be paying with any currency at this point i just slap a plastic card to the side of a plastic machine and i've paid

>leaving a digital trail for every payment you make
Cash is underrated by millennials.

too pessimistic to really give a shit anymore

Its really Nice not getting ripped of everytime you cross the border exchanging currencies. Personally I dont mind it not having a identity. Just use it to get products with an identity or visit places with a historical significance.

>coin have national symbols
are you a street beggar?
